So what are your thoughts Ryan? Kelly as back up to Johnson? LB? CB? Bit of everything?

Yeah, Kelly's still young and learning the game. He's got 15 years of football in front of him, so there's no need to rush into declaring him a first choice RB/Centre back/left back whatever.

Glenjo's a very good footballer. He's vital to us going forward, and over the last 6 months has improved his defensive responsibilities significantly. I've said this hundreds of times, but if a player has decent attributes to work with then you can mould them into a defender. Look at Ashley Cole; he was fucking hideous when he first started out at full-back for Arsenal and wenger had to resist calls to stick him on the left wing. He like Gelnjo had pace, great ability, and was good going forward. He was fortunate enough to be playing alongside greats like Campbell, Adams and Vieira too who could cover his arse. Glenjo doesn't have that luxury with us, but over time he can shape into a quality attacking full-back like Cole became.

Totally agree. We miss his pace and his ability to carry the ball into the oppositions half.

I do love Martin Kelly aswel though.

I voted Magic. He is established, experienced and is a good player.
Kelly on the other hand is still young and learning and like someone mentioned in this post earlier being back up or getting 20 odd games in the next season would be good.
If Kelly was to play right back, the Magic needs to play left.

Flano - Kelly - Wilson - Robinson

in a few years time, with Coady, Ayala and Wisdom in the mix too.

I voted Kelly, as he's clearly the better defender. However, that's on the proviso that Johnson plays, either at left back or right midfield. He's too good a player to leave out.
