Salah, Firmino and Mané only have a year left on their contracts.
Who leaves this summer?

Firmino - Wants to play in the world cup. The emergence of Jota and Diaz has pushed him further down the pecking order and he hasn't been selected by Brazil since autumn last year. Probably needs to leave to get more football.

Salah - Wants more money

Mané - Been very quiet about his situation

Carragher tonight said he expects Bobby to run his contract out and leave, which i imagine Klopp wouldn’t have a problem with. Mane also playing well through the middle has pushed him really far back now but we’re also losing Div, so there’s still room?

Out of the 3 it’s starting to look like Mo leaving isn’t it? It has been dragging on forever, it would’ve been a good time to announce an extension for a late season boost and he’s not playing very well. Add PSG losing Mmmbop into the mix as well but I’m sure Gini hasn’t exactly recommended Paris.

Firmino seems most likely because he's somewhat surplus to requirements now and he's not getting alot of football. He may run down his contract but either way I don't see him signing a new one

I don't know, it's all very confusing tbh.

I really don't want to lose Salah for fuck all next summer, though. If we have to sell him now just get it done. Then buy Saka for about £150m.

Saka’s contract is up in 2 years as well - so it might pay to wait on him.

Get another successful year could of Salah and if he wants to leave on a free, so be it - Saka with 1 year left on his contract is likely to mean we could get him at a reasonable price.

Maybe.

The thing is, Arsenal are in a stronger position this year, even if we do sell Salah - better in fact, because they know we could afford a high fee.

I don’t think we’re selling anyone, unless the player specifically asks to leave and/or a offer comes in that’s too good to turn down - like a Coutinho type offer.

I'm just not willing to write off like £70m or whatever on Salah for one extra year. That's just nuts.

But it probably is what will actually happen tbh.

If we win the quad, I'll let them both go.

They can go to PSG or City and start their TED talk about "what is like to be in a winning team" for their teammates. (For mountains of cash, of course)

Firmino to stay for his last year of his contract, Mane to leave and Salah to sign a new deal.

Yeah - but his value to us for another year might be more than what we can get for him in pure £’s.

FSG do have form for letting players run out their contract rather than selling towards the end.

I think the same. The value in cash might not equate to value to the squad for another year. Salah will go on a free

There's no way he's worth even £50m for just one season. I say again, that's obviously mad.

But I do agree that that's actually the likely outcome. I just don't want it to be.

Salah has had a big dip in form, and goals. been saying for quite some time that he is too predictable in what he wants to do, and defenders know it.
Mane has be come more of a central striker, and Jota can also cover that role so that leaves Bobby somewhat surplus to requirement if you see it that way

this summer I expect to see both Salah and Bobby sold, along with AOC, and Gomez

I have always believed that one will sign an extension, one will see out their contract and one will leave this summer.
I think we have already bought the replacement for the one who leaves in Diaz.
Mo's only realistic option at this stage looks to be PSG but will they offer enough to make it worth our while letting him go.
Mane will attract even less of a transfer fee and is still a huge asset to us.
So, now I am not so sure that we will lose any of the three in the summer but I would say the most likely to go is Mo.

One thing to remember about Mo is that he won't be at the World Cup and maybe we see the incredible momentum we could have with both him & Diaz being fresh for the second part of that campaign.

If I had to bet on it, I think Mane will sign a new deal, and Salah and Firmino will both leave for nothing next summer. We'd then make one big signing next summer and have Carvalho replace the other one.

I mean, it will be the second season in a row that we win the quad.
Naturally there will be other trophy's along the way but I don't want to go all "Pep"
Community Shield, Super Cup, Club World Cup, Caraboa, FA Cup, PL, CL. 22/23 will be tasty

Hopefully Salah and Mane would sign new deals, and Bobby leaves on a free next summer.
But I think Mo will sign and Mane could leave. Sadly. Really hope Sadio stays as well.

It isn’t mad - you’re just thinking in terms of pure cash.

Yes the cash would be handy and while he’s not irreplaceable, there’s no guarantee a replacement would provide the goals and assists to help power us to success - on and off the pitch.

I’m in two minds - I really think I’d keep him a let him leave on a free rather than sell cheap.

At least we’d have a year to plan, while squeezing performances out of him - maybe even bedding in a replacement.

His value to us exceeds the value we could extract out of a transfer.

We could probably get £70m+ for him, and save maybe £10m in wages. You're looking at about £80m for a season. I'm sorry but that IS crazy.

We might have quite a thorough backup plan for him going, the process has been so drawn out we’ve already had the chance.

Diaz gives me great hope in our ability to find good attackers

I dont think Diaz would work as Salahs replacement though. He's much better and more suited to play on the left.

I meant that we have pulled what is looking to be a top level player out of the bag for a ‘low’ fee, i have faith he we could do that again to replace Salah if we need to.

Agreed. Full confidence in our reqruitment if we need to replace any of the players.
Replacing Salah would be a very tough task mind.

Yea it’s one of those where the solution might not be like for like because the player is irreplaceable, maybe Nunez plus more of a provider out wide would give us the same end result.

I agree, it's the goals you need to replace rather than the player per se. It's why I'd have considered Kane as a replacement.

Get Nunez in and a right winger who can get 10+ a season and you've probably solved the problem.
