When you have SCM!
My girlfriend and I are moving in a few weeks to a development that has 1 allocated parking space.
1st world problem: we have two cars.
I applied for a permit for the road outside (and paid my £80 to Kingston Borough Council) and was rejected by the council as part of the original lease of our building (a section 60?) means that we are ineligible for an on street parking permit.
Fine - I thought - there is a carpark less than 2 min walk away, I will buy a season ticket for there. It transpires it is council run as a £1/hour pay and display, no season ticket holder option. Bugger.
Back to the drawing board, my building has a few visitor spaces, and the leasehold documentation says:
"The right to use in common with all other entitled to a like right on a first come first served basis any parking spaces marked 'v' on the plan for the temporary parking of visitors private motor vehicles not exceeding three tonnes gross laden weight"
Can I be a visitor in my own home? If not any suggestions that do not involve moving again (I can't afford more stamp duty!)
