It's the same reason there's such a pandemic of rotten spelling right across the Net, namely laziness. It's not complicated, and most people are more than capable of getting it right, but too many of them simply can't be @rsed.
Why before the world cup?
My favourite player in the world is David Silva. I probably love him more than any of our players too.
He could curl one out in the middle of Anfield and I'd still think he's magic.
That 25 minutes he put in after half-time when we dicked them 3-2 at home was mesmerising. Toure, Kompany and Aguero get more plaudits, but he's their most important player by miles. The whole fucking show runs through him. Just that willingness and confidence to go and pick the ball up anywhere on the ground, against anyone, to never lose it, and to continually make something happen.
He's in the top 5 players on the planet in my opinion.

He's ridiculous but he's not a cunt so that makes him go up in my estimations
