Who goes to the match on here?

Is someone who sings and cheers from their couch still less of a fan than someone who is silent in the ground? Or more? What about someone with their cock out every week?

We need more detail on how this works.

Someone do some fucking modding please.
I agree - Give the man a trophy... Biggest ******* 2012

Rael, this is the last request. You have until midnight to get an avatar or you will be perma-banned.

And not just from the forum.

Get on it.

Me grandad always used to say, 'If Liverpool were playing outside me window I'd shut the blinds'. He was a big Reds fan, but he was very safety conscious - he lived on the fourth floor.

I've started reading raels posts as hal from 2001 for some reason.

"you don't want to watch the game from home dave"
Ha ha! You've done it now.

Rael :-- I know I've made some very poor decisions recently, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I've still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. And I want to help you.

It varies depending on £, work, time etc but i usually like to get to 7 or 8 games a season. Travel over from Ireland.

Never been to a game. Last time, and the only time, I visited UK was when I was 6yrs old.

It's bit of a trek from Brisbane, Australia.

It's easy for ppl to say, hey those who don't go to games aren't proper fans ....

Well look at it from a perspective of a fan from Australia for example ... a 3pm UK kick off is midnight here, a 5pm kick off is 2am, and then we have late late games kicking off at 5am....

And with us being invovled in the Europa League the past few seasons, that means our league games are on a Sunday in the UK more often ... so it means getting up Monday morning 2am or 5am to watch a game and then having to go work afterwards - Monday's are depressing enough already, even tougher on limited sleep 🙁

I've watched Liverpool live on the TV in numerous countries round the world - Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Holland.

I also have one of those car window suction cap thingys or a Liverpool kit - but it keeps falling off, so I don't display it regularly.

I demand to be upgraded to level 1 armchair fan - at least.

Did I mention the socks...

Rael, to be honest, I don't go. Last time I went, as an idiot OOT'r, I parked on Anfield road and had my car windows smashed and my shit robbed, missus was in tears and it aint much fun driving home with your missus in floods of tears, driving down the motorway with no window, so my last visit was Chelsea in the champions league.
I have tried to get tickets last season and this, but have had no luck getting any with the new system and think the double fan card to get two tickets if you're lucky is a nightmare. It's no good for a casual OOT'r like me, as it's a full house every week pretty much, which is great for the club but not me. If I supported my local team I'd get 50 tickets each week easy lol

Now a question for you - Do you think local fans that go to the game every week, have any more a valid opinion than a liverpool fan that has never been to a game, or is any more of a fan? I don't think I've missed watching one of our games for years now, with the advent of the internet, and that's some of my life I'll never get back watching some of the most dire shit under rafa and woy recently, but I don't miss them, and some of my mates miss half the games, but go to anfield for the ones they do watch. I wonder how you'd score my 'fan-ness' against these guys?

You parked on Anfield Road? It was probably the police who smashed your windows then!

In 25 years of driving to Anfield, never once has my car been damaged, broken into or anything. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but it the instances are much lower than oppposition fans would make out.

I realise that I've just jinxed myself for the next trip and will be driving up in a brown Vauxhall Nova to ensure any damage is offset by me not caring!

The roads much further from the stadium sometimes have a few smatterings of window glass lining them after the game, (esp lower breck road) but very rarely near it as there's still a large police presence near the ground.

I dont get up to Liverpool that often. I either cant afford it or am working. Also my family live down south so when I get a weekend off I usually get press ganged into going down there.
But then to be honest when I do get up to Liverpool, going the game is the least enjoyable part of my visit. Its the night out with the scousers I buzz off.
Im a Liverpool supporter kind of because I always have been and its been such a big part of my life/youth/past. But the game and the players and the clubs and the coverage and the fans have changed. And if I was really REALLY honest with myself. I just dont give a fuck anymore.
I have no empathy with the players or the soul of the club, but more to the point I feel out of step with most of the fans nowadays. I think when (for example) we first started posting on Koptalk I was very similar to the majority of the fans, nowadays there are about 4 posters on here I feel that agreeable with.
Its changed so much. Ive changed so much. Probably only together now for the sake of the kids.

I do love Liverpool, but im not in love with her anymore. Too many cunts in the stands and waaaay to many cunts on the pitch.
So ultimately in answer. I rarely go for various reasons, but if i really REALLY wanted to go i could go more often. But ive got better things to do with my life than give much of a fuck about 3 points on a saturday.
I'll keep watching. Dunno if i'll keep caring.

I said about 4. As in just a handful.
Theres probably more than 4. But then again, even the ones i agree in the main part with i rarely always see eye to eye with.
I suppose you wouldnt expect to agree TOTALLY with anyone.

I agree with you TOTALLY when you're happy and optimistic.

I don't know about you, but I haven't enjoyed Liverpool so much in years ... I like what's happening. Perhaps I'm lucky as I never had the 70s and 80s, so the 'soul' etc that you talk over is things I only read about etc ... I still love the club, enjoy being a fan but being so far away means I'll always just 'scream and shout' at the TV, wear the shirts, and watch the games with my kid.
