Who could afford LFC?

But would you bang any of the sheiks who would buy us? I’m a man, thinking with my penis is a given.

You know what - I wish people would stop going on about worrying about Middle Eastern owners, I think all countries have "Previous". The way I see it - I would have liked FSG to maintain control over the finances and running of the club, while we have some ownership from a Middle Eastern spunk money consortium.

I know not many are fans of American owners but I guess they'd be no harm in tempting Bill Gates into coughing up again? 🙄

Why go Gates when we could aim for Bezos? In five years time we'll be playing at the Amazon Stadium. All LFC games on Prime. All or Nothing documentary every year.

Because Gates will have mind control over everyone on the planet once we are all vaccinated. He could then make us the only supported club on the planet. Talk about a huge advantage.

A tech trillionaire would be good. Maybe if Elon Musk gets together with Angelina Jolie they could buy us together. AJ and her kids are all big Liverpool fans!

Bazos and Gates are American, there would be no emotional investment, and doubt neither see football as a vanity project like they see yachts.
MBS would pump hundreds of millions in, as football ownership is vanity for them, but he would be the most controversial owner anyone could have. The guy gave the orders to dismember a journo, and he has single headedly destroyed Yemen.

Yeh watch it with that shit
It was tongue in cheek comment as to why the Taliban would not go for Arsenal. It was not a dig at Jews.
To go over the context of the "too many Jews" comment.
There was a comment of the Taliban owning a football team, however, the ideology of the Taliban is, any fun is haraam (chess, kite flying, music, dancing and with some even football).
Then @rurikbird made a jokey comment about the Arsenal not really being a real football team, where I made a tongue in cheek reference of there being "too many Jews in North London" which would put a stop to any bid from the Taliban who don't like Jews.
I have no issues with Jews, only 2 qtrs of N.London has a sizable Jewish population, and that's Barnet and Stamford Hill (in Hackney). There's only 300k Jews living in the UK. So clearly there aren't "too many Jews".

Time to make a couple of calls and bring some old favourites back into the picture

Jeff Bazos was looking to buy an NFL team, far less risky an investment. Besides, buying a football club might hamper any deals Amazon wants to do with the PL. Other than a sovereign wealth fund I just can't see anyone else willing to buy big clubs.

The Sportify guy hasn't the cash to buy Arsenal and he is worth $4.2bn.

He does have the cash Blue, The Kroenkes don’t want to sell up.

& what does ‘risky business’ even exist when you’re 1 of the wealthiest person on the planet?

Saw his interview, he is part of consortium, he offered something like £1.8bn, even in the dire straights they're in, I think they're worth more than that.

Who in their right mind would spend £2-3bn buying LFC, only to have to inject another likely £1bn in player purchases and then have prop up the club every year after wages likely outstrip income... and all without loading any of that debt on to the club or without any chance of getting a financial return on the investment.

I don’t even think the current owners of Chelsea, PSG or City would even think about doing something as stupid as that - they bought the clubs cheaply, in much the same way FSG did, so they could grow them.
