I have to admit having watched him at the Confederations Cup is really the most I have seen of him in game other than the friendly with England a while back.

So anyway he has looked pretty good at the Confederations Cup having scored in all of Brazil's matches and showed off some flashy step overs and back heels and all that jazz.

Many people were not convinced he was worth what Barca paid for him earlier this summer and opinions are still a little mixed on the rooster haired one.

So, what's your take? Is he better than Messi and Ronaldo combined? Or is he Robinho 2.0 with shit hair?

massive potential, already showing signs of being able to deal with it since he was 17 - will be wonderful to see how he and messi click.

It'll be interesting to see how he does, particularly in a team like Barca that are very prescriptive in their style of play and currently are setup to serve Messi.

In terms of him as an individual talent - he's probably proven as much as he can at the age of 21. Santos have enjoyed their most successful period since the days of Pele (and the Brazilian league has a lot more money these days), scored loads of goals and has seemingly taken on the responsibility of leading Brazil with relative ease.

BTW the new Barca kit is ace!

He's a massive talent but seriously, Ronaldo?

Not even close. Ronaldo was already a phenomenon at that age.

And I do mean the fat, original Ronaldo, not the fake tanned one.

How much longer does the fake ronaldo chat last?

He's anihilated la liga and the only reason why he's not the best player in the world is down to one massively talented tax-dodging midget

He'll prolly score about a million goals in la liga next season, as everyone does. But as Macca said, it'll be interesting to see how he gets on in the champions league against proper defenders.
Looks like he's got some skills though.

Yeah, but he's about 1/100th as likeable as The Real Ronaldo™

Why are all the best Brazilians recently ruined by 28? Either injuries or lifestyle just fucks them up

It's a shame he managed to swap his hands over at the last second. The upside of his move is that when it fails there is a possibility they may choose to sell Messi instead of Neymar.

Neymar is at the height of fashion just now, and his media reach has continued to grow to unheard of levels. People adore him so much that in Bolivia two of every ten babies is baptised with his name.

This claim has been reported by some media sources in South America based on information from the nation's civil register: "We think that in around 17 years' time the majority of kids finishing school will be called Neymar, because it is a very common name for baby boys", said Remigio Condori, the director of the Civil Register Service in La Paz: "It's the most fashionable name at the moment".

The world's other two big stars, Messi (Lionel) and Cristiano Ronaldo, are not even close to Barcelona's most recent signing when it comes to this particular statistic.

According to the minutes of a Santos board meeting from 18 June, leaked by ‘Globo Radio’, Barcelona paid 17 million euros in order to obtain 100% ownership of Neymar.

However, the Brazilian club received just 9.35 million euros of this amount, with the rest being divided between two companies that owned part of the players’ rights, DIS, which owned 40%, and Teisa, which owned 5%.

According to Globoesporte, Barcelona made an initial offer of 16.5 million euros for the player, to be paid in various installments until 2016. The deal was finally sealed for 17.1 million euros, with Barça paying the administrative costs of the operation, which reached 171,000 euros.

However, and as Barcelona announced, Neymar’s transfer was elevated to more than the 17 million euros recorded by Santos. Sandro Rosell’s board declared the total cost of the operation at 57 million euros. 40 million euros went to the player’s father in commission, 10 of which was paid in advance in 2012.

In terms of a bonus for Santos, Barcelona will have to pay them an extra two million euros if Neymar is named among the top three players in the world in the Ballon d’Or awards within the next five years.

Another element to the deal included an agreement to play two friendlies between the clubs. The first is scheduled for the Gamper trophy on 2 August at the Camp Nou, with Barça covering all of the Brazilian club’s travel costs.

The second will take place in Brazil between July and September of this year or for the same period in 2014. In the event that this game does not take place, Barça will have to pay Santos an extra 4.5 million euros, according to Radio Globo.

Santos will also get first refusal on the transfer of the forward if he leaves Barcelona.

So, half-a-Carroll then. Or a full Henderson.

Pass the shotgun please when you're finished.

Hmm but how about this Binny'd part:
