What will be the verdict on this one?

At first I thought it was deliberate. My stream went off for the replay so it's only now that I'm seeing it again and now I'm not so sure.
I think the verdict would be innocent. I'd give him the doubt this time.

Of course it was deliberate. Why else would he kick his leg back when his momentum was taking him in the opposite direction? He's a cunt of a footballer and will hopefully get what he deserves for this.

I agree with the cunt part. However he's lost his balance and in such a situation it might have been not deliberate. it's like 50-50 or 60-40 so they'd probably let him enjoy it for now.

Surely doing something like that should carry a Suarez like length of ban?

He's a dirty, petulant cunt. Hope bellers breaks his legs.

Doubt or no doubt had it been Suarez and not Balotteli he'd be out for the season. With a 723,319 page reprt by an FA commission...

I've watched it a few times and I reckon it's deliberate. I also think the FA will punish him severely for it.

Wow, the ref was looking right at it!

He turned his head just before it happened and is in the process of turning it back when it happens. It's difficult to say how much he saw of it. He certainly *should* have seen it.

It wasn't deliberate.

Leave Mario alone!

and if Suarez or someone else you don't like had done it?

Jesus lads, I'm surprised so many see it as deliberate. It looked totally accidental to me.
I don't think anything will come of it.

He can feel where the player is with his standing leg, and there was no need to stamp down at all, its 100% a deliberate case.

If I thought it was deliberate I would say as much, how could he plan to do that and land that way when he's off balance. He's a nuisance to the opposition and petulant, but I don't think he's malicious.

Normally no, but he IS unstable and goodness knows what may pass through his mind at any particular moment. I simply don't buy the idea that a movement like that would have been accidental.

There was no reason for him to throw his leg out like that, it wasn't a natural reaction during a fall to rescue himself, he'd already landed and realised he almost landed on the player, so he automatically turns away from the player, but then kicks out. It was petulant and unwarranted and he'll probably get away with it because he's not playing in a Liverpool shirt.

Accidental my arse. It couldn't be any more obvious.

It's a deliberate stamp. If we was off balance he would naturally move his right leg forward to regain it. He doesn't he moves it purposely backwards.
