We play 5.30 Saturday and then 3pm Monday.

Chelsea play 3pm Saturday and then dont have to play until Wednesday 8pm?!?

How the fuck is that worked out?

I guess the team will be something like
Mignolet
Moreno
Klavan
Lucas
Clyne

Fuck....ive no idea.
They are going to be FUCKED

now that burnley have bummed sunderland we will inevitably drop points :/

Less than 48hours is a pisstake
It's only a couple of hours less than Sunderland.
I had hoped that Klopp wouldn't go on too much about it as it makes ideal material for Moyes pre game speech.
It is a piss take though

Our game against Sunderland isn't on TV

I know that. But it was a general reference to their increasing power and influence. Our game with City was rearranged for a evening kick off for TV, likewise Spurs v Chelsea was rearranged for TV coverage. The games are always spread out over the Christmas period to maximise the number of live games on TV. We've pulled the short straw this festive period there for sure.

Mignolet
Clyne Lovren Matip Moreno
Can Stewart Winjaldum
Origi Lallana Sturridge

That's should win the game easily..

I actually don't give a fuck about the fixture scheduling...I'd kill to watch LFC play 4 times every week if possible

Jesus. Are you that dumb.
The point is the team we are chasing have 2 more days to rest.
I dont mind us playing if they have to aswell.

Who cares man, when it's all said and done all teams play 38 league games from Mid August to Mid May.

It's not ideal no but does it REALLY make a difference?

Always been only 2-3 day gap at Crimbo/New Years for Footie games but yeah, playing at 5.30 then at 3 two days later is a bit nuts. As already stated though it's not much different for Sunderland and they're really shit so I'd like to think we'll still beat them quite comfortably.

One good thing about the fixture list is that after all these weeks of chelski going nine points ahead and the pressure being on us to reduce it to six, is that now we will have the opportunity to reduce it to three and putting a bit of pressure on them.

Looks like gonna send in the boys for the next game? I am not sure how those who played 90 minutes can recover so soon for the next game.

Ah LAds you take the breaks you get with the ones you don't. Sunderland have the same situation so it's really not that much of a negative. Plus we've no euro fatigue so
We can't really complain that much.

The fact Sunderland are in the same boat makes me less concerned

Indeed but big difference between playing City at 530 and Burnley at 3.

We looked absolutely dead on our feet 2nd half.

Hopefully we can put them away earlyv

I'd much rather be going into this game having beaten City than having lost 4-1 to Burnley, don't get me wrong, it's a fucking shit decision to play these games so close together for both us and Sunderland, but at least we're both in the same boat, heck you'd even suggest that as we have the bigger squad and budget, it gives us an advantage.

Manes last game before he disappears to the ACN isn't it? First name on the team sheet.

I recon Karius will get a chance in this game. Does Matip have any chance of being fit? Anyway, I think it's going to be pretty much our "cup squad":

----------------Karius---------------
--------Matip--------Lukas--------
Trent-----------------------Moreno
---------------Stewart---------------
----------Can---------Ejaria--------
Sturridge----Origi----Woodburn

Why on earth would Karius "get a chance" for this? This isn't a League Cup 3rd Round tie at home to Gillingham.

Because he's not a different level to Ming, they are about the same quality at the moment and both need chances to prove they can be better. Just like when Karius was the #1, another poster was making a big deal out of starting "a keeper we all hate" (Mignolet) in the Cup 2nd round; now it's the reverse – but both players' level didn't change!
