What do we know about Schalke ?

Quite possibly the worst champions league semi finalists in living memory. How on earth they beat inter home and away is beyond me.

I'm glad that the scum are going through. It'll hurt them more when they get humped in the final.

Whatever gets you through the day.

What a useless game , right from the start you could see United were going to score and the only surprise is that it wasn't more . Will there ever be an easier away semi than that ? i doubt it .

In fairness to Schalke they topped their group and beat two decent teams in Valencia and Inter to get to this semi but that will all be forgotten and they ( and German football) will be labeled as piss poor . There was just no fight at all . I guess that is why they are mid table in the Bundesliga and recently sacked their manager .

So let's take for granted that United will be in the final . Hopefully they play Barcelona as I personally think their style is more suited to beating United , if it's Real I believe United have a good chance.

Another advert for team over player. Be honest, how many of you would pick Park over Nani?

Ferguson knows how to manage and pick a team.

Me, every day of the week. Park offers loads. He's their kuyt but with a better touch. I'm devastated he seems happy to sit on the bench more often than not

Well so would i tbh mate, but you've got to make the best out of a bad situation 😉
Good to see you have learned something from Xpert Eleven. 😀

It seems that a few wins in the league have gone to your head mate. "You only sing when you're winning" comes to mind!

Domestically yes. But he's won 2 European Cups in 27 years.

Alternatively you could say he's won two in 9 years and has had his team in the final of the CL 3 times in 5 years. They're the most successful team in Europe over the last decade along with Barca - whom I'm beginning to despise with equal vehemence. That's not true........ but I really do hate Barca more than any other foreign team at the moment.

We learnt schalke and the german league is pants. It was painful to watch united stroll past such a poor side. How inter lost is unbelievable. United have had a relatively easy path to the final with the exception of Chelsea (but they were poor). Thank god it'll be barca or real in final, so there is still hope.
As I've asked before - how is it that it doesn't matter who the mancs play it always turns out that they're somehow utter rubbish and playing poorly and the mancs somehow struck it lucky to get past them.

I said months ago the only team that I can see beating Fergusons scum are Messi and co. Fortunately (and I despise Barca) it is Barca who will be there at Wembley. Having said that the only chance I think united would have is in a one off game. In Hernandes they have a poacher who could easily nick one out of nothing and then park the bus. That CB partnership is streets ahead of what Barca can provide.

Wiz, you keep pushing this theory of yours that our dislike of Manure has addled our views on them. Don't you think it at least possible that they have been lucky enough to have a season in which they haven't been great by their standards (you surely don't think this United side would stand much chance against some of its predecessors, do you?) but neither, for the most part, has their competition?

I think this Man Utd team is a belter. One of their most solid.

I agree with Wiz, they dont KEEP getting lucky, they are just better than everybody else.
Evra, Van der sar, Vidic, Rio, Smalling, Nani, Valencia, Rooney, Hernandes, Berbatov....... all class then Park, Carrick, Giggs, Anderson, Scholes etc all better than most teams can put out.

Young, Hungry and talented. They arent where they are through luck.

Evra, VDS, Vidic, Rio, Valencia, Berbatov, Park, Carrick, Giggs, Scholes "young"? Smalling, Park, Carrick, Anderson, even Scholes these days "better than most teams can put out"? They're ManUre managed by Ginsoak, so they're going to be good, but not even most of the ManUre fans I speak to reckon this is a great side by their standards.

Well Im certainly NOT one who believes they are where they are through luck.

However I firmly believe that this season they will win the league because Chelsea collapsed for some reason after the sacking of Wilkins, and they have reached the CL final by one of the easiest routes ever ( apart from the Chelsea matches) through group and knockout stages.

You're both right.

This is still an excellent team, and more importantly better than anything else in the Premiership.

But they've had much stronger teams in the past.

They're going to win the Champions League. I'm going to bet on the fuckers doing it.

Oh and this Man Utd team would get fucking slaughtered by the one 2 years ago, and that one wasn't that great by their standards. If we had the team we had two seasons ago we would have walked the league this year.

Rumour has it that Fergie is resting Rooney, Hernandez, Rio, Vidic and Carrick tonight.

An early goal for Schalke could make this interesting.

It could indeed. After the first leg I'm not convinced Schalke have enough about them to get it, but we live in hope.
Just as long as you don't back them at long odds to go through then they have an outside chance. 😉

Ha. When i heard the team i did have a look at the odds.

I think Man U are a bunch of despicable jammy cunts who've had a piss easy draw throughout the competition and have a whiskey nosed bacon faced cunt of a manager who's sold his soul to the devil in exchange for jammy arse fortune. You'd think I was biaised or something

I certainly agree with the first bit. They've to the final with only one serious opponent. Chelsea.
