What a rubbish season....

Honestly - it really has been rubbish has it not ? - it almost feels like the season never started, and United have just been given the title, as none of the sugar-daddy clubs even tried. City were just rubbish and inconsistent, Chelsea just all over the place, Arsenal looked like they were never gonna make it in the CL and suddenly they are sitting pretty on 3rd spot. Our season has gone as I had predicted in my mind - we were actually no better than the Swansea of last season - looked good in bits, but mainly just inconsistent at winning. At least the season before we had 2 cup finals to shout about. Somewhere in all of this season - the top teams, and us need to remember that the game is also about winning. If the teams all play like this next season then I think they the so called challengers owe it to the FA to tell them 'look just give the title to United, we are just sh*t'.

What I have learnt this season - is that if you have a good manager you can win the league with an uninspiring line up of players, and an overall sh*t team.

P.S. - I hope we hang on to our star player Stewart Downing.

One make one good point in particular - if Arsenal can make the CL there's no reason why we can't

The thing that has disappointed me is the lack of certainty in our team as the season ends. It seems we have question marks over more positions or areas of the field than we did at the end of last season.

Big summer for Brendan ahead.

I hope Barcelona come in with a 20 million pound bid for Downing and then we can all move on. He's too good for a small club like us.

The most disappointing aspect of this season for me, is that while our attack has started scoring again, our defence has crumbled.

I've actually missed some games and not cared about it. That's never happened before. There's been an air of unreality about the whole thing. It's just sad that the likes of Gerrard and one or two other senior pros have wasted a year of their careers.

That's the way I feel about it also. I'm struggling to understand what we, as a club, have actually accomplished this season.

If it all comes together in the next season or two, great, but right now I'm not seeing it.

Me neither. I care deeply for them but it seems we are a bit of a joke. Aside from a few great wins (I went to a couple of them luckily) this year has been a trial. Keep the faith though. @keniget It's Rodgers first season. Lets judge proper this time next year.

Well I am glad I am not the only one that feels like this. The problem is that we needed to qualify for the CL for this season to mean anything and we did not even reach any cup finals. Yet it seems that we as a club have not quite got what it takes because we keep resorting to 5-year shitty plans. We don't play bad stuff when we want to, in fact if I could describe us - we are a team that have the character of Stewart Downing. We want we do something otherwise we mainly have off days. Still can't get over Arsenal though - I really thought they were down and out earlier in the season and now they are somehow going to easily make that CL place. What the f*ck is wrong with us - I am none the wiser about our prospects for next season. This team were as inconsistent as the team last season. There was a time when as an LFC supporter you expect to win those so called easy games - but seriously do any of us feel that way anymore ? - I don't - I think it is a 50-50 thing in every game we play against any opponent. We got f*cked over by Oldham in the FA Cup for f*cks sake.

This team needs a stronger spine. Lucas and Gerrard goes missing too often. Our cbs are too error-
prone. We need a bad ass cm.

I gave my tickets away on Sunday.

I don't give a fuck anymore. Rodgers is embarrassing and the club is a joke.

People tell me to get behind the team but I don't know what that means. There's no substance to any of it.

Blimey! Cheer up buttercup. Life is a bunch box of chocolates and all that. 🙂

It's late and I'm watching an Ingmar Bergman flick so I was distracted 😉 - I just wanted to offer Woland some LFC support in his moment of woe.

i find it tiring supporting liverpool now , we don't seem to get many things right these days and haven't for a number of years no matter what or who we change . You're meant to stick with the club through thick and thin but doing that feels a bit like burying your head in the sand .

As for football and this season in general . It can fuck right off .

I enjoyed watching us beat Bale FC... that's fucking it. This season has been fucking shite and it seems as though each season is worse than the last. At some point it has to fucking turn around... ginsoak dropping dead would be a fantastic start if the footballing gods are searching for a starting point.

Well I'll ALWAYS support them but even I have to admit it's growing tiresome. For me the day that Bent scored off a beach ball and the laughing stock we were reduced to since that day (In regards to the media anyway) being an LFC fan has been somewhat painful. I keep thinking that the tide has to turn at some point. Then things like the crazy Carroll transfer, the Suarez racist thing. Also the 'Being Liverpool' and now the Suarez chomp debacle that just kicked me in the teeth when I'm already hurting off a 0-0 at home to West Fucking Ham. At the moment we are in a bit of a bad way.

I try and go to a few games a season and that helps. Hanging out with other reds for a bevvie and a banter before and after somehow makes it all worthwhile. Even if it does cost me about £150 a pop. At the moment the bad out weighs the good. It sucks but I'm convinced it's going to change - I just might be an old man though when it does.

It won't stop me from tuning into the next game though. Sturridge and Coutinho to score in an LFC win.

True indeed, we've been crying out for a bit more bite in midfield.

I kind of know how you feel and understand why you did it.
