Tough game to play after the high of reaching Wembley, playing extra time, playing loads of games in Jan and against a side who humped us twice this season already.

Considering fourth is gone I'd put out the strongest side we can field and go for another cup run.

Ming. Clyne. Lovren. Sakho. Smith. Can. Lucas. Henderson. Texiera. Lallana. Benteke.

Firmino needs some sort of rest and we need to see if benteke can play his way into any kind of form.

I'd start Caulker in this. We need some aerial presence at the back.

I'd also start Benteke, Allen, Ibe and Smith for Kolo, Frim, Lallana, Henderson and Moreno

8 points off 4th with 15 games to go.. It ain't over yet. Btw we'll beat West Ham

Come on Shadey, 8 points.

Normally 70 points or better is needed for 4th.

That would mean 12 wins and 3 defeats in our last 15 games.

No chance in hell.

We are to inconsistent.

65 points max for us this season.

You won't need 70 for 4th this year.

Wanna bet?

Spurs are currently fourth and will require 9 wins and a draw with 6 defeats which is easily achievable.

Leicester which some think will drop out only need 7 wins and 2 draws.

I think it will actually be more than 70 this year.

Spurs are averaging 1,82 points pr game so far. That will see them finishing with 69-70 points. Verthongen just got injured for 8 weeks aswell

Oh, and fuck Spurs

Maybe. They play us at Anfield. Win that one and gain one more win on them over the next 10 games and we're right there. I do agree that there's little recent evidence that we can put a run together, but we have players returning from injury who should be fresh and we have put together strong runs in the second half of the last 2 seasons. I'm not quite ready to write off 4th.

Perhaps but we are also looking at a cup final, at least one more FA cup game and two more European games which all points to potentially a dip in the league.

What's our best run of wins in the league this season? 3? 4?

It won't happen and it's a big risk but given that we know the Toure/Sakho partnership is shite, I reckon we have nothing to lose by experimenting............

...............................................Ming...........................................
Clyne....................Caulker.................Lovren.................Flanagan
......................................Milner.......Allen............................
................Lallana....................Firmino................Ibe...............
...........................................Benteke.......................................

I'd give Henderson a rest because we can't take chances with his heel until he's 100% over the problem (and he doesn't seem to be).

i'd like to see:

----------------Mignolet---------------
Flanno---Caulker--Sakho---Moreno
-----------------Lucas------------------
---------Hendo-------Allen-----------
Ibe-----------------------------Lallana
-----------------Firmino----------------

Bench Can as he runs shit loads every game. Milner annoys me - get Ibe on who at least has the ability to be a game changer. Caulker for Carroll marking.

Carroll is injured

An extremely tough game. They are flying, have beaten us easily twice this season and we're all over the place.
Hopefully the positive energy running through the squad after the Norwich and Stoke games, a Wembley final on the horizon and the possibility of getting to another will see us through. Depends which Liverpool turns up.

That's risky. Milner might seem 'annoying' as he isn't doing anything flash but he's doing some load of dog work. I think we need to find the right balance of workers and goal scorers in our team but I wouldn't drop Milner, especially not in an important FA Cup tie.

I don't think we are lacking dog work with the rest of the side though.

Firmino should be rested and Benteke could do with a full game. There are injury doubts over Clyne, Henderson & Lovren so they should be on the bench if at all.

We don't want another replay so let's go for shit or bust :

-------------------------------Ward-----------------------------

Flanagan---------Caulker-------Sakho---------Smith

---------------Allen----------Lucas-------Teixeira-----

Ibe-------------------------Benteke--------------------Ojo

From the Echo:

Klopp's press conference:
-- Sturridge still not fit for this game and Leicester
-- Lovren back, Coutinho getting close, Clyne 50/50, Henderson out
-- likely to play a changed team against Hammers (as in relative to Stoke game I guess)
