I doubt this thread will go on for 89 pages ..... Job done .......4-0 nuff said

Great to see Sturridge off the mark after the brilliant preseason he's had. If he can stay fit he'll be a lethal option.

Yup, pleased for Sturridge. Even the cringey dance was back.

Easy to forget that a few years back before all the injuries Sturridge was every bit as good as the other guys in the front three.

I find it hard to see him staying at Liverpool but hope he can stay injury free and find some form.

Sorry for no match thread action from me, got a very last minute freebie to the game so from 12 I was rushing around to get to pick the ticket up from old swan & to Anfield in time for kick off.

Well worth it though. Brilliant match. Could & probably should have been well more than 4.

I trust you get your priorities right next time...

Great that the bench allows Klopp to make more positive changes. Last season, way too often, the only option seemed to be: bring on another defensive midfielder or, worse still, an extra defender around the 75 to 80 minute mark. Here we had three positive changes - albeit maybe slightly belated IMHO - and it was so nice to see.

Ha. I stood outside the King Harry pre match desperately trying to get a match thread on here but the data just wasn't working (usual match day issues cos of so many people) believe it or not! And in the ground I was in the upper centenary so no WiFi up there sadly.

Happy for you. What a game and it sounded like the atmosphere was great!🙂

Agree completely, once we are fit and firing having the ability to bring the likes of Fabinho, Sturridge, Shaqiri, Lovren, Clyne and Henderson into this team will give us serious strength in depth. I cant remember us having a stronger squad than this one.

8 days till the Palace game which of the injured crew are likely to be available?

Oh, & if shaq scores soon he's gonna be the next cult hero. There was a real buzz in the ground when he came on, everyone desperate for him to do well.

  • Mohamed Salah has been directly involved in five goals in his three Premier League meetings with West Ham for Liverpool (four goals, one assist).
  • Salah has scored 20 goals in his 20 Premier League games at Anfield for Liverpool.
  • Only Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer (both 41 goals), have scored more in their first 50 Premier League appearances than Salah (35).
  • Sadio Mane is the first Liverpool player to score in three consecutive opening top-flight fixtures since John Barnes between 1989-90 and 1991-92
