We really are fucked for this game, I mean big time, - we have three people with proper pace in the team :- Ibe, Moreno, and Clyne - the others will not be able to manage to keep with the opposition. Worse still the thing I fear the most is Lucas or Can getting sent off as they can be a little reckless in the wrong areas when players go past them and they feel they have to commit that foul. Moron's prediction - West Ham to win 4-0.

I hate checking these pre-match threads, the pessimism makes me want to take a razor to my wrists (I have hairy wrists).

We'll win 1-2. West Ham are having a tough time with injuries and form over the past 6 games.

Whereas we have a clean bill of health? Ha.

Hope you're right though.

Don't worry - usually when I say we will fuck up the team surprise me by actually winning. You should worry when I think we will win 12-0 which for this match we have no hope because I think we are f*cked for this completely. Our limited striker options are going to be a problem now and for those that say Firminio can cover that position as a false striker are deluded - he has shown little to nothing in the period he has been with us, and that "little" I refer to is that one game against City, and those 2 shots at goal in the recent Sunderland game.

Still ..... more positive than the match threads.

Hopefully we'll win. West Ham are organised and have pace.

Its been a while since we have had lunchtime kick-off on a Saturday, which if we loose will inevitable ruin my weekend.

I said before the Sunderland game that we would beat Sunderland and West Ham.
I'm sticking by it for no real reason at all other than I can't stand West Ham.

Yeah, thats probably true. But its the type of game were Lucas usually just isnt up to it.

I expect West Ham to beat us today, if for nothing more than the ridiculous difference in preparation afforded to both teams, but the one thing going in our favour is that West Ham haven't been at their best recently and have a big injury list, hopefully we can take advantage

I would gladly take any scrappy arsed win right now.

Any way we get the three points today would be fine by me.

Payet is back and Carroll will probably score...

Lets hope we turn up and fight

The key to these games is readyness and application, meaning the players take to the field ready to battle from the kick off, none of that silly playing it around in the midfield and at the back to get 'warmed up'. If ever a game called for high pressing and direct football this is it. A result here would be a big boost ahead of some much tougher fixtures in mid January.

Have you ever predicted a Liverpool win, Mystic?

It is about time for a Firmino goal. He is due one. 1-2 to us with a desperate last 10 mins where we just manage to hold out.

No whispers of the lineup again.
I guess the mole has been found.
