The reason he gets so much stick is that with the right attitude he could be one of our best players. He has most of the skills required he just doesn't have the brains and guts to do it.

Yeah, he can be, erm, erratic in that regard, but that's something he could work on. When he first arrived most people accepted he was raw but had potential, it's just all gone wrong. And he can't really blame anybody for that apart from himself.
