Because of the huge influx of cash from the new TV deal, Stoke are putting on Free Coach travel for all away matches for their fans saving them an estimated 799 quid a season each!

The coaches depart from their ground and drop fans back after the games.

They said it's because they want to share some of the new income with loyal supporters.

Stoke are profitable because they've set their expectations low.

Stoke are profitable because they've set their expectations low. Also, I doubt they take a huge contingent to away matches.

Besides the point really. Name me one other club that has done the same or similar ? I'm struggling to think of ANY that give anything back (and no, keeping season tickets at the same level isn't even remotely similar). And you can't count Chelsea's plastic flags either.

What are you on about? Look at what they did for us.

I'm not sure ow you keep missing the point so spectacularly regarding football but you do seem to be one of the new breed who thinks its as easy as championship manager.

What Stoke have done is put fans first. Without the fans the clubs are fuck all.

Yep, well done Stoke. Most clubs in the Premiership should follow their lead.
Our fans really deserve it tbh.

It is worth noting too that Stoke have kept ticket prices at the same level since their promotion to the top flight in 2008 too.

Manchester City returned 900 unsold tickets for this weekend's Premier League match at Arsenal to the North London club, with fans groups reasoning that the £62 they were being asked to pay was an unreasonable amount.

City Supporters' Group spokesman Kevin Parker said: "In 2009 a ticket to Arsenal was £32.50, so in under four years they have gone up by almost £30 and now they're the most expensive in English football. It seems a ridiculous amount of money. Some fans are saying, 'I'm not paying £62 whether I can afford it or not because I've got to draw a line somewhere'.”
Football Supporters' Federation chairman Malcolm Clarke has this week spoke out against the ever-increasing cost of attending Premier League matches, suggesting clubs use the increased revenue from the new £3 billion domestic television broadcast deal – set to start next season – to ease the financial burden on the fans.

"We estimate clubs could cut £32 off the cost of every single ticket purely from the increase in the TV pot this time around," Clarke said.

"There are many ways of measuring what is the best league. But if you look at the Bundesliga, where fans can attend matches for €15, stand up, have a pint if they wish, and even get a ticket for the metrolink, it seems the Premier League is short-changing its own supporters.

"This business of categorising matches is blatantly unfair. Just because Manchester City have a lot of money doesn't mean their supporters have, and the same is true of the other teams who get charged the highest prices every time they play."

Shouldn't Stoke be sending away fans in helicopters? That way they could hover above each ground and keep the ball in view longer.

Well done Stoke though for considering their fans.

Well done LFC also for travelling half way round the world to give their worldwide fan base an opportunity to see them up close.

Yeah, the far easy tour isn't quite so philanthropic a move though!

My point is that its in their capacity to do that, we have lofty ambitions which costs money

I wanted Stoke relegated last season as I hated them. They have now done this and sacked Pulis so they deserve another chance. Hopefully they will start to play football next.

It's a good cheap PR move which they probably need given how bad they're going to be

I think they missed a trick, if they put on free transport to all their rivals to get them to Stoke, they would generate much needed ground revenue and a better match day atmosphere.
