Give over Jono mate, you spent a year hounding Rodgers, post after post, jeering the man which led to the forum nearly having a meltdown. You weren't alone in fairness, you had help from Peter, Moo and recently Arn. (some dream team).
Mark remained vocal long after everyone else had thrown in the towel asking you to stop making everything you post about Rodgers BUT you are still guilty of it so don't play coy mate.This is a proper manager post wasn't enough to get my back up or anything because I usually keep scrolling but I did see it as a dig at the previous manager. It riles people up to have to trawl through those posts. Portly, Oncy, Lippy etc have brought this to your attention. Why bother using the new appointment to have digs at the old manager? You claim you aren’t doing that but a few posts later you suggest keeping faith with Lovren because Jurgen might help him reach his potential. What? You wanted Rodgers fired for persisting and playing Lovren earlier in the season. I’m aware a different manager might coax an improvement from certain players but you’ve cried wolf too many on here so apologies for my cynical interpretation of your post.
The entire forum is over the moon with this managerial trade up. Let’s enjoy it and move forward. I do feel sorry for Mark at times on here. He gets a lot of abuse for ‘fighting the good fight’ but he isn’t trying to ram HIS opinions down people’s throats. He wants Klopp here. He wanted to trade up on Rodgers. He hated Lovren, he actually agreed with you on so many things regarding Rodgers. He was originally asking you to stop repeating your hate for Rodgers when everyone was quite clear of your position on things. Even the Thank You thread to Rodgers wasn't safe from you and Moo who again felt the need to unnecessary dig at Rodgers. He's gone lads, move on.
Then he was asking you to stop using Klopps appointment to dig at the old boss. You say you aren’t doing that so we have to leave it there. Mark if you think Jono is guilty of doing it again, just keep scrolling. I think the 6CM community would appreciate ye giving it a break.

I aint going to comment on the spat.. but I will comment on the following as I think its worth the debate... More for what I mean by it and where the club is heading.. not in respect of trying to prove a point..
I ain't a fan of Lovren.. But a new manager with new ideas means a fresh start for all and sundry.... it will be interesting to see how he shapes up..
Whilst I don't expect miracles, every player should be given a fair crack of the whip.. Klopp is renowned for getting the best out of players.. and that is exactly what I am referring too, Though as I said he may just stick with Sakho & Skrtel..
It was more about the appointments we have been making since Rafa's reign.. The fact he is a world class proven manager, shows for once our beloved clubs statement of intent.. Well long overdue imho... NO more eefing experiments, projects or stop gaps.. We now have a manager that is proven at the very highest level, a manager to take the club forward, 'A Proper Manager..' to show that we can now potentially compete with others at the top of English Premier League

It certainly does.. its always been my gripe.. a lot if comes down though to the inexperience of the people we had running the club at the time, I guess..
I just hope he doesn't fail ... or we're fucked once he's gone.

Hodgson had a track record. The problem was twofold: (a) with the exception of two spells at Inter Milan his track record was mostly at a lower level and (b) those appointing him missed the danger signal that he'd been fired from Blackburn when they were, however briefly, at or around the top of the Prem.
I suspect the appointment of Hodgson was ultimately down to the chaotic state into which the two cowboys had taken the club. Broughton and Purslow had it all to do (a) keeping the club from crumbling and (b) finding new owners, so didn't manage to put the necessary time into finding a new manager. If they'd been able to do that I can't believe we'd have been left with such a limited number and quality of options.
