Journo; The main reason for all your goals this Season would you say that is down to you beeing more selfish these days?

Zlatan; What do you mean? I've always been extremely selfish?
Haha, I love his quotes.
He's hilarious.

At the press conference after the game against England. (2004)
Reporter: "You´we got some scars in your face, Zlatan. What has happened?"
Zlatan: "Well...I don´t know...you´ll have to ask your wife about that"

This City, Perez and Chelsea thing really is irritating. The very summer we could do with a couple of class players, City, Real and Chelsea will be flashing the cash.
We need to be clever incisive , decisive and perhaps divisive and be prepared to pay a bit of a premium or we will miss all our targets (assuming we have any). Remember there is no scape goat this year !!!

That though will also mean we will be awash with people worrying that X, Y or Z player is not worth X, Y or Z amount of money. A player is worth what someone is prepared to pay, not what us knobs think.

I hope Rafa has read your post Vlad (thats number 1 sorted for next season).

I wish we would get in on all the crazy transfer stuff and sign someone.
Has anyone been to one of those fund raising race nights, the ones where horse races are shown on a screen? I have run a few of them (run, not, run in)
At the end they usually do an auction race, where individuals, or syndicates bid for a number of a horse and the winner takes all. It is all complete chance, no one knows the race the horses etc. Each of the six numbers has an equal chance.
I can almost guarantee that the first number out will go for the lowest amount and as the auction continues those with money to spend become more desperate and the last number out can be two and three times that of the first.
The summer transfer window is like that too. If we have someone in mind we have to get in make a good offer and get out before anyone knows it's been done.
Smash and grab Rafa , smash and grab,

Pre match interview with Zlatan, before Norway-Sweden;
Journo: what do you think of John Carew?
Zlatan: what he can do with a football, I can do with an orange..

I agree Vlad. No more embarrassing Barry sagas.

With all this activity going on around us, I just find myself feeling increasingly apprehensive about this window.

As long as we're not loosing out on any of the targets I want us to sign I'm not to bothered.

I'm quite sure work is beeing done and that we'll soon see the likes of Villa, Kuba and Glenn Johnson introduced. Maybe a cheeky bid for Bentley too. And then some unknown Brazilian forward with preferable a Brazilian-esque name like Zicodinho or Socranaldo.

That's the point though KHL , without being too hysterical, we can't afford to waste time.
Let's take the hypothetical scenario of Villa, off your wish list.
Say we are speaking to him and he is open to the idea, and we have a bid in at say £27m Vallencia would really like £30 though (personally he has always made too much about not moving from Spain for my liking). City are out of the frame as Tevez is going to them. Tevez then does an about turn during negotiations and buries the hatrchet with United and signs for them.
There aren't any other big targets around Eto'o is back in love with Barca. Where do they look? Ahaha Vallencia are still pondering £27m. Lets make an offer they can't refuse, says the Sheik "here is £37m" - "thanks he is yours Senor".
Liverpool sign Owen

Nope we need to get in quick, I'm sure Rafa knows that as it was his main criticism of our dealing in the past, so let's see how he goes on.

Barry to Citeh.
Tevez (for all intents and purposes) to Citeh
Kaka to Madrid.
Lavezzi staying put.
Us out of money and Rafa losing it with the yanks (wink).

You couldnt have written it.

Whats in store for Wednesday. Ferguson to retire? Ronaldo to Leeds? Lavezzi to STAY in Napoli.

Strange fucking days.

Make a whacky prediction for the next 4 days then.

I'll go with......erm...
.......Robert green to Arsenal.
IF Rafa wasn't given any cash, or hardly any cash and had been led up the garden path by the Yanks, does anyone think he might walk?

I agree with your basic premise Vlad, unfortunately with the way things are, the selling club(s) and/or the players' agents can easily contact the big spending clubs and let them know we have put in a bid or what terms we have offered.

It's not just about being quick, but Rafa has really operate wisely in this transfer window.

I certainly get your drift mate.

All I'm saying is that untill this day most articles of rumoured 'talks' has been circulating around players like Kaka, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Pirlo and Tevez whom are all players we hardly expect us to buy for various reasons. Money beeing the most important part.

Barry is so much yesterdays news in my book, especially as Alonso has made himself look irreplacable over the past Season. I'm glad he's gone and out of the picture.

Perez is causing quite a stir at Real which is somehow affecting the market it seems but so far I'm glad we've kept our cool. Nothing indicates that we're going to loose out on our main targets so far. I'm feeling confident.

Oh I agree about Barry, I was (this window) pretty ambivalent about Barry.
It's the class forwards that is my worry, we are really, really, exposed in that area.

Well no one actually knows who they are. I heard it was Eto'o but others are convinced its Silva?

I'm not claiming to know who they are either I'm just feeling pretty confident we haven't seen any of them move around just yet.

I'm sure we're following a right-back, a winger and a forward mind.

How many of those are against Milan/Juve or after the group stages in the CL?

Anyone doubting Zlatan's obvious mega-talent don't know football and that's a fact.

*Agger will however keep him well quiet come Saturday mind.

It's not as weird as when two of the world footballs hottest properties (mascher/Tevez) signed for West fricking Ham.

I just seen a headline "Blues sign up Benitez" and nearly shat myself.

Haha, my reaction was pretty similar when I saw that!
