I expect him to carry the ball forward and scores goal. Similar to Ox but with a more rounded game.
I was dissapointed in the Brighton game as I thought that was exactly the kind of game he played we brought in to win.
Breaking through compact banks of 4/5 with little space by carrying the ball and committing players.
I'm sure it'll come, just a little surprised after all the hype.

Could say we were lucky against palace. Townsends shot didn’t go in, we got a pen which could have gone either way, etc.
Doesn’t matter does it, 3pts is 3pts. In May when it’s all sorted, no one will remember how “lucky” you were.

Our biggest weakness is less depth than a couple of other sides.
Spurs have that same weakness, but even more so. They also had more players involved in the WC & for longer.
That will make a difference at some point this season, possibly not til the final few games, but will come eventually.
Thats not how Lucas played tonight, he literally played as a striker.
Agreed, the only reason I think they'll finish 2nd and us 3rd is we're going all the way in the CL while they'll only have the league to concentrate on after feb
I dunno mate. They have a strong a squad as us. The only place they are really fucked is if Kane gets injured.
On the bench they had Davies (I like him), aurier, sanchez, winks ( he’s gone be a good’un) and that’s without wanyama and lamela being there.
Only place they struggle for backup is up top for me.
But you could say the same about us if one of our front 3 got injured. We’ve got VERY lucky the past year not having any of those 3 out for a reasonable period of time.
They will be up there come April. Definite threat. I wanted a draw tonight.

100% agree about our front 3. Salah pops his shoulder or Mane pings a hammy and we are toast. Hopefully Shaqiri can give them a reasonable rest. Surprised he didn't get 25 mins for Firmino against Brighton.
I also would put VVD in the critical to not get injured camp too. He's insanely good in the air defending set pieces.
I wanted Utd to win as I don't see them as a threat under Jose.
Plus it would be nice to win as many games as possible at the start of the season and open up a gap.

Spurs are a strange one, they never look that good, but they keep grinding out results, that's a testament to the quality of their star men, Kane and Eriksen. I'm nervous Lucas will give them something else new which they lack, pace, now that he seems to be settled, but I'm still not sure it's enough to make them genuine title contenders; they've always been a team that impresses, but never excels.

Nightmarebeliver said they had the most impressive start, but bar the Utd game that isnt true.
3 wins is impressive, as is Chelsea and our start.
But they were awful against Newcastle and without the standard Spurs rub of the green wouldnt have won.
In the end it doesnt matter, I agree. But it was more to correct Nightmarebeliver.
We deserved the win against Palace, which is why I dont think you can say we were lucky.

Yep, and Watford. They've been very solid so far. Wont finish higher than mid table but thats good enough for them.
