I hate hearing that we'll see a player play well if he's surrounded by 100m worth of talent and Steven Garrard.

I'll play well and score a few if I'm surrounded with that.
 
Carroll is the type of striker that needs support and you cant really expect that from a Spearing/Lucas midfield.

We overpaid by 10m. We got screwed. So be it. We still would have had to pay 25 with man city and united in the market. It's done. Let's give him half the time we gave other strikers and he'll be fine. Two mighty goals from a half fit striker in five games where we've had squad players playing. Anyone who questions him now is just a bit of a silly phone in merchant with way too high expectations.

It's not like we signed him for 50m and got a dud with 1 goal in what 15 matches...!!?

Im not too sure but I dont think they played together in a 442 formation before.
They re just not good enough.

Did anyone expect Suarez to be this good? Perhaps neither did Kenny so wanted Carroll in aswel and was prepared to pay the inflated fee. Carroll has been injured and hasn't really gotten a run of games so I can't really comment on how we're going to look next season.

Ah now be honest, ya took a few chunks out of him here and there. Too early man to be making those statements about him. Keep your inner East German in check while the lad gets fit playing with a new club will ya
