WC 2010 - Quarter final - Uruguay vs. Ghana

Some really shitty penalties taken by Ghana tbh. Props to Suarez though. Uruguay were almost fated to win.

Unbelievable end to the game.

Gutted for Ghana. I felt they really deserved the win today. They gave everything and whilst Suarez's handball will be seen as a great sacrifice for his country (which it probably is), it was also cheating, which ultimately stopped Ghana from going through..

.. that and the missed penalty.

A shame. The tourney has been kept alive by Ghana.

I feel so sorry for Ghana. They deserved to win and showed the likes of England how to pass the ball with purpose.

Whatever. Uruguay has less than half the population of London. They are punching well above their weight and are a good underdog to support.

Actually you're right, I'm sure I won't be watching Argentina v Germany tomorrow, or Spain. The Tournament is dead.

haha, so very true.

The Argie Germany game & the Spain Paraguay game have me near wetting myself with excitement. So looking forward to them.

I'm going to the beach tomorrow but not until after Argentina loses to the Fatherland. My friends won't be happy at waiting.

Do you know how I know your friends are gay?

Suarezs' handball was one of the best judgement calls ever! So what if he misses the next game...he's a national hero right now!

By the way, having rewatched it, the Ghana freekick that lead to the hand ball wasn't a freekick, and I think it was probably a dive.

this is absolutely spot on and I said it right as that twat Gyan took his ill-fated penalty.

I was overjoyed to see Ghana crash out of the world cup, because I think they are the biggest bunch of diving, simulating, cheating cunts still left in the world cup (if Italy was still in it they'd be in with a shout). Seeing them lose in such a painful fashion was fantastic. I feel like Cartman after feeding Scott Tenorman's parents to him.

You are gay or Holland in a worl cup final, eh? Who'd have thunk it.

Me!!! I have twenty hard earned English pounds on the Dutch at 7/1 after the group stages. Come on Orange!!! Its looking increasingly likely that there will be an LFC player or two in the final as well. My interest is rekindling!

Robben and Van Bommell are two of the biggest scumbags in world Football.. both not only dive but roll around for hours trying to get everyone sent off.

Wierd, I wasn't happy to see them crash out, nor do I think they are anywhere near the worst divers in the tournament, not even top 10. I just thought that one thing was a definite dive.

I hate to see deliberate cheating, but the main reason Ghana are out is that they missed 3 penalties...Anyway I hope the Dutch beat U R Gay.

fucking cheating cunts. so someone who blatantly cheats is going to be celebrated all over uruguay and the only punishment is a one game ban? fucking BULLSHIT!

Like nobody in Liverpool celebrated when Stephane Henchoz palmed the ball away of the goal line in the 20011 final against Arsenal.

Liam Brady (Irish assistant manager up until recently) was on RTE last night defending the handball because it essentially won them the game.

I don't remember his comment after we got knocked out, but I'd be willing to bet they were different.

What about the Ghanaian who cheated to get the free kick that led to this incident?

Oi! I got Uruguay in the 6CM sweep.

Mind you, I think Holland will take them.

Of course we did, and as George has said...pretty much anyone would have done the same...doesnt make it right though.

'In the same situation, there is no chance the Ghana players would have used our hand'

John Pantsil

That's the same John Pantsil who handballed it 4 times in one game against Liverpool.
