One of my hardcore Manc friends invited us for drinks and a braai at his workshop so I'm pumped for the game.

There be a good crowd of Mancs and Liverpool fans gathered and the banter is ace.

They're a bit worried. I'm confident that we will win tomorrow. Just don't ask why. I believe!
 
Yes Avvy banter with Mancs. It happens amongst my friends and family.

We usually watch the big games together and the losers get stick to breaking point. All in good spirit.
 
Im drinking tonight and flight is at half six this morning. Sunday is going to be a long day.
 
Avvy, Anfield is a long way from home and we just make the best of it.

The atmosphere is fantastic and we have some tense moments but its grand.

Didnt say anything about atmosphere or lack therof, roland..

I never watch with Mancs; because they make me ill..not an idle boast, they just do...every game with them is torture and nail-biting suffering, ended usually by their jeers and laughs as we've either been embarassed or been cheated; either of which is unbearable...a bunch of glory-hunting cock-suckers who get their jollies by pointing and laughing at fans of weaker teams; of which said fans probably know more about the Mancs than the Mancs know about themselves, who believe there wasnt any football before 1992 save for the one fucking match where Lou fucking Macari stole the FA Cup from us.

So I dont watch with Mancs.

Especially because most Mancs in my family know to look for me when they've beaten us.

You remember the wonderful year where we supposedly came close to them?...four points behind.

Truth be known we were never going to catch them, we didnt have it on us..evey one knew we were going to falter at the end, and we just deceived ourselves into thnking we were close..i spent the last match day in bed pretending to be sick whilst the Mancs outside were watching TV and were rejoicing and waiting for me to come out of my room.

Yes, this man pushing 40 didnt have the heart to go out and face the jeers.

So no, Roland..it's not about atmosphere...it's about not wanting to be with shitty fans who make me ill.
