A subject that really confuses me. Why is it so hard for the US to implement controls around gun usage in the US? This is absolutely crazy. Some of the arguments are grasping at straws at best e.g. "its all mental health related" and "if we take away guns they'll use something else".
If it is crazy people, then does the US have a disproportionate amount of these to the rest of the first world?
Say someone did have the balls to really try and make a difference, what can be done?
Huge tax on ammo? If someone just needs to "defend themselves" then surely a couple of bullets is sufficient and worth of the cost (not that you should get a choice).
The prevalence of guns in the US is one major factor stopping me from pursuing a secondment over there.
