Arsenal Hoping To Prise Unsettled Mario Balotelli Away From Inter
The Gunners have their eye on another young talent...

By Adam Scime

After being linked with Manchester City earlier today, tuttopalermo.net and La Gazzetta dello Sport have suggested that Arsenal are also interested in Inter starlet Mario Balotelli.

The teenager has endured a fractious relationship with coach Jose Mourinho, who has criticised the player's attitude on several occasions in 2009-10, most recently following a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday.

The Italy under-21 international may be willing to try his luck elsewhere, rather than stay under the guidance of 'The Special One' at the Nerazzurri and Arsenal are ready to throw their hat in the ring.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has churned out a number of young talents for the London side over the years and Balotelli would be a welcome adddition to their squad in attack.

The striker, touted to be one of the best prospects in Europe, would likely cost at least €25 million. He has seven goals and five assists for Inter in all competitions this season.

Not gonna happen of course. It's Arsene and he's never gonna spend that much money cause its what keeps his job safe. But if this guy is unsettled its a World Class talent available for some team with money to attract. I would hate to see him lineup against us ever year for another PL team. Hope he stays out of England! Or we blow some of our shirt sponsorship on him. Cause thats Backup Striker, starting RW and backup LW sorted.

I don't even want us to sign this guy because he'd never fit in with rafa's approach. That in itself is a bit depressing.

I don't want us to sign him either, but not for that reason. From what I can gather, even fans of Italian football aren't unanimous in their praise of Balotelli - everyone agrees he's talented, but quite a few reckon he has sh!t for brains and is simply not reliable enough to spunk a massive fee on. That BTW includes some who are by no means Mourinho's biggest fans, but they agree with him on this.

dos santos was meant to be worth 20 mill when he was 16. load of bollocks. we moan about aguero but it could have been a disaster for us.

Every time he's played against an english team he's been shit. His highlight was nailing ronaldo, then accusing him of diving, then shouting obscenities at him.

Yeah cause really English teams in the CL are an good measure of how Mario Balotelli could affect a title winning side. You know what you're right this 18 year old is someone to pass up on because of an attitude problem formed by an extremely troubled childhood. He could do with a few good influences (hopefully Torres or Gerrard can take him under his wing cause he'd be a monster purchase. Hopefully Mario will learn some of those on field moves too not that he needs more developing to be a worthwhile first team regular http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/stats?id=100681&cc=5901. He's also tall and built like a tank. He'd be the kind of nut you love to have, like one CR. With that kind of self belief and determination he'll never let anyone hold him down either.

He was actually very good in that game I thought.

Ass - what point are you trying to prove? I saw him play and he was poor. I really don't care if he's good or not, just saying what I saw.
