I could stomach it in 2001 when we were building but to be in it after what we have achieved in the last few years in the CL is depressing. It's a bit no win for me, get skittled out, we can't even do well in the Fucking Europa Cup, win it, it's only the Fucking Europa Cup.

Couldn't disagree more.

At the end of the day it's £ and silverware.

It'll never begin to compare to the champions league obviously but fuck it, I'd take a top 3-4 finish and the Europa cup right now.

It's also worth noting that dropping out at the CL group stages will affect our seeding at next years tournament, providing we make it. Doing well or even winning the Europa League will push our standing right back up.

That said, I'm still clinging onto CL qualification. It is possible and we can do it.
