Bebe?

Yeah that's just seriously wrong.

Perhaps this list is uselss but at least some mentioned will become stars I reckon.

this Douglas Costa chap seems to have been mentioned for a while. i thought someone would have brought him to Europe by now.

edit: they already have. oops 🙁

Coutinho and Kroos have impressed when I've watched them.

Mario Balotelli is a bit silly being on that list since he went to City for around 20 million already. It's not like he'll be snapped up on the cheap or one for the 'future'. Same goes for Canales.

De Gea is the young keeper yeah? I wonder will Arsenal or United go looking for him soon.

De Gea is Atleti's 20 year old keeper ... really really solid keeper.
Yeah he has a bright future doesn't he. He played against us in the Uefa Cup last year too and looked decent. It must be tough for any young Spanish keeper coming through the ranks knowing Pepe and Casillas still have 5 years left in them at the top.

I've been raving about him for a while on the site. I've not seen half the players listed above, but I'm telling you this guy is the best. Barring injury or a really poor choice of club, he's THE next Messi/Ronaldo.

I'm sure I've posted these clips before, but here you go anyway:

Clips of him playing for Gremio/Brazil before he moved to Shakhtar

Douglas Costa - Best Moments 2008-2009

Clip of him playing for Shakhtar

Douglas Costa 2010 FC Shakhtar Donetsk

The guy really has everything - pace, breathtaking ability with the ball, and an absolutely wicked left foot. But what's most impressive (and it really stands out in these clips) is his end-product. This guy shits goals/assists. Just to give you an idea, he moved to Shakhtar in January and had 8 goals and 6 assists in 19 games in his first six months. Dunno how he's been doing this season, but I guess someone who's been watching the CL games this season might give a better idea.

The Scum have been seriously interested hin him, and given how well he's doing at Shakhtar, it's only a matter of time before he moves to a big club. Fuck, I'd love to see this guy at Anfield.

I refuse to let this thread die until everyone's seen the clips I posted.

I want Douglas Costa at Anfield. Now.

Sotiris Ninis - Panathinaikos
Just came across this and thought its worth a share. 🙂

Sotiris Ninis: Born with talent, blighted by injury

Sotiris Ninis is regarded as one of Greece’s best young players. He’s an exciting, agile attacking midfielder who became the youngest ever player to be chosen captain of his club, at the age of 18 years and 125 days.

The prodigious Panathinaikos starlet, who has played for the Green’s since joining their youth set-up in 2003, has been watched by hundreds of scouts from European powerhouses with Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid all tracking the 21-year-old in recent seasons.

Those addicted to PC game Football Manager will know him as the ‘playmaker’ with so much promise, while the same has been said by many experts within the Greek game, who feel he is a ‘youngster’ yet to reach his full potential.

However, injury problems have certainly hampered Ninis’ long-term development, the most recent blow coming in September when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament while on national team duty, keeping him out of action until the end of January next year.

Besides injury worries and having to live up to the ‘Greek Messi’ tag, the imminent takeover of Panathinaikos by Saudi Prince Sultan al-Saud has thrown his own future into even more doubt. There have even been suggestions that midfield marquee signings such as Ronaldinho could become reality if the Prince puts his money where his mouth is.

Despite becoming a fans favourite at the Athens-based side, Ninis’ contract runs out next year prompting fresh speculation that he could be preparing himself for a big-money move to a European side.

He’s still got plenty of time left to find that ‘ideal’ European move, but it essentially relies on two main factors; finding consistency in his game and keeping fit long-term. What you can be sure of however, is that Sotiris Ninis is a supremely gifted footballer who is almost guaranteed to make a name for himself on the grand stage – it’s just a matter of time.
