Tsimikas’s little brother

Interesting, if true. We don't normally spend that kind of money on young players "for the future". First the Georgian keeper and now this kid... a change in approach?

We need a player for "now", however, to come in and replace Nunez. If we have money for everything, great. If not, I wonder what the plan is because surely the jump from a midtable second division German side to Liverpool is too great... unless he's "him" (as the kids would say).
Yeah I'd be interested to know what Slot's ideal is in terms of striker options. Nunez is hopefully on his way out, but Jota is injury prone, and I'm not sure Diaz is intended to be a long term option there. This guy looks good, and if we bring him in this month he'd be an upgrade on Nunez, but I think another striker is probably needed anyway. I'm impressed we've managed to do as well as we have without a regular supply of goals from the number 9 position.

We’ve had a change of approach since the end of the Klopp era. We have started to look at the best of the best at the youth level. We could offer a better path to first team football than the likes of Chelsea so could get potential stars and bring them though. This sounds like a tweak to that approach and look at that age group above and see where we’d like to take that chance with spending more but have a better idea whether they can reach their potential.

An ideal time for a young striker to come in. All he had to do is match Darwin's 4 goals in 26 appearances and he'll be seen as a net improvement. Bonus points for speaking English

It’s not about playing together. It’s about having 2 players for each position without a big drop off in quality when they swap and change.

Your Brother-in-law’s brother-in-law….. IS YOU!!!!!

Looks like instead of buying the current Isak/Gyokeres, we're now looking at picking these young players up before they go to a Real Sociedad or a Benfica, and make their name.

I thought he was a summer signing.
We are not going to get a FWD, as I can imagine Henry saying why haven't you used Danns and Chiesa before asking for reinforcements?

I can't imagine Henry asking anything football related tbh

There's no way he even knows who Danns is. Bet he knows who Mrs.Chiesa is though.

What's with the obsession over the likes of Harvey, Chiesa and Danns anyway? One's average, one's a crock and the other is a kid.

We're trying to win a fucking title here, there isn't any room for sentiments. The latter wasn't even part of Arne's plans going into this season, he's supposed to be at Plymouth right now had he not suffered an injury that kept him out for 6 months. Now he scores a rebound against Accrington and he's supposedly the answer? Are people for fucking real.

We are scoring and creating chances but our fullback are letting us down. We buy defenders we win the league, we don't it will be a struggle. If we stop the number of brain fart moments at the back we would have won more games. The attack has solutions off the bench, the defence not so much especially if there are injuries

why the fuck is this guy always giving bad news non-stop ? - is he just a cunt ?

Twitter guy either makes up rumours or repeats rumours made up by other twitter guys.

Crazy fans click on links and get excited because transfers are like crack for crazies.

Twitter guy then tells crazies that the made up bullshit isn’t happening.

Crazies get angry and vent fury leading to other kindred crazies feeling warm and fuzzy so they can also vent fury.

Repeat as often as possible to keep those crazies acting crazing and desperate for their crack hit!!!!

So, to answer your question.. not only is he a cunt, but he’s a cunt that’s likely getting paid and enjoying making a right cunt out of you.

Solution - delete Twitter, don’t click on links or if you absolutely have to, click on it expecting it to be as real as the email from a Nigerian Prince that needs your back account details so that he can send you some money.

You’ll find life much more bearable.

Ask yourself the question - is it ability or “brain fart” that’s costing us.

If it’s the latter - is it better solved by focus and coaching?

you think you can fix Trent's and Robbo's mistakes? Trent's attitude has turned fans against him this season. His creative output does not make up for his mistakes. Like Darwin they've regressed If the Scottish George Clooney decides to earn a living instead stealing one he would do something about it.
Right now, I would even recall Owen Beck if its possible and play him ahead of Robbo

That’s the question I’m asking.

Robbo’s is probably more leaning towards physical decline than brain farts, which would have me playing Tsimikas more as he isn’t showing physical decline.

Long term a new LB - but trying to negate one mid-season is a risk, so we can wait till the summer if we need to.

Trent’s is more to do with focus and also how we set up if we are going to give him more attacking freedom. That’s fixable if he wants it to be and as one of the best RBs in the league this season, it’s not a massive stretch.

The solution to “fans getting on his back”… is for fans to not get on his back, taking yo social media, etc - what sort of nonsense world do we live in where we get angry at someone negatively reacting to us abusing them - there’s a fan made doom cycle of our own making.

That’s not to say players are above criticism - but these days it’s ridiculous.

I swear of late, even the mostly sane people on this site are getting all pitchforkie after the slightest dip in form below perfection.

It’s like the entire site’s on a constant mood swinging period - bunch of fannies that we are.

Its partly the fault of that Pep/Klopp challenge where draws are viewed as losses - in the last 6 seasons you can argue that Pep/Man City has got everyone thinking that you have to be perfect to win this league, people have not gotten onto the fact that we are actually in a league this season where teams are not perfect, and in reality we have been the best team thus far both at home and Europe.

However, all that said - I think we still need signings this January - agree with your point on LB - maybe we can wait - till the summer, but if we are to compete on all 4 fronts - then I do not think this squad we have will last the course of this season performing at a consistent level, I think the drop in levels it is capable of is actually quite significant. I do not know what signing would be best at this stage - but if we are to ease the burden then someone up front that can make a difference is what we need to push us over the line. I see signs of last season already where when Mo stops the others cannot do enough to get the wins we need.

Agee with this. There's also the point that the PL is just getting stronger Clubs like Brentford can outbid the AC Milan's of this world. That's been the case for the last nearly a decade now. Any clubs that have managed to stay in the PL for that period are stronger than they have ever been, which is only further evidenced by the gap to the Championship. Historically the PL has always been overpraised for being mildly more competitive than leagues elsewhere, but I think that is now more the case than ever.

Trent isn't a teenager he is deputy Captain and we have seen it for quite a large part of last season and more and more instances as the seasons progressed his resting bitch face with a unwillingness to run. I'm with @moron its better getting someone who will commit to LFC. Trent wants madrid, I don't blame him, he should ask for a transfer
Why don't you think keeping Robbo is a risk. Because of these two fullbacks our CBs need to work harder. All transfers are risk, but considering how long we take to act , be enlarge they work
