Liverpool are monitoring 19-year-old Leif Davis as a potential summer signing, according to reports. The Leeds youngster broke into Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team this season, but has not played since February due to a knee injury. But Davis’ performances for Leeds before injury struck has attracted the attention of Jurgen Klopp, and Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Bournemouth. Davis made his senior debut for Leeds last December in a 3-2 win over Aston Villa, playing in his natural left-back position. Out-of-favour defender Alberto Moreno is tipped for a summer exit and Liverpool are eyeing Davis as a replacement for the Spaniard, according to The Lying Rag. Davis only joined Leeds last year from Morecambe, but Bielsa is already a big fan and keen to keep hold of the teenager. Davis would cost around £4m (Picture: Getty) The defender is under contract until 2021 and valued by Leeds at around £4million. Klopp has been given a modest transfer budget this summer and would be attracted to a cut-price deal for a full-back. Robertson has established himself as Liverpool’s first-choice left-back and one of the best full-backs in the Premier League, despite paying just £10m for the Scotsman in 2017. But the Reds suffered from a lack of options at full-back this season, with James Milner and Jordan Henderson forced to step in at left-back and right-back at times.

Gotez was gushing with praise and still turned klopp down twice
I know, they all seem to love him, but never join him. Have mentioned this issue with his pulling power to attract young Germans but we have seen very little even the ones who have worked under him before. I personally think its all the running and pressing he demands of his players...they may feel his methods are subject to too many injuries.

LIVERPOOL are reportedly ready to offload Xherdan Shaqiri as they look to seal the transfer of Villarreal starlet Samuel Chukwueze.

While Shaqiri started out his Liverpool career impressively, the Switzerland international found game time hard to come by as the season progressed. The Reds narrowly missed out on winning the Premier League title to Manchester City but their 97 points accumulated show that the squad does not need tinkering too much.

Boss Jurgen Klopp will be on the lookout for a good deal this summer of course, but he not expected to dip his toes into the transfer market too much. One player that he is looking at though, according to Goal.com, is Villarreal starlet Chukwueze. The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season in La Liga, scoring five goals in 19 games, while also impressing in the Europa League. His versatility appeals to Klopp, it is believed, given that he has played across the frontline this season and as an attacking midfielder.

The newly capped Nigeria international has pace to burn and is seen as ideal back-up to Liverpool's front three. While the Reds are not actively looking to sell Shaqiri, bids upwards of £20m would surely have to be considered.

This is an intriguing link. This player first caught my eye in that wild 4:4 game vs Barcelona where he absolutely tore apart their left flank, particularly on the break. He did something similar to Real Madrid earlier in the season:

He is usually compared to Robben, but for me he has more of a young C. Ronaldo playing style – for now it's mostly tricks, pace and playing on the counter, but with right coaching and work ethic he can learn to be effective against deep-lying defenses too because he has all the tools. His dribbling and ball control are very strong and he has the perfect physique for a winger/forward; he somehow combines low center of gravity and long legs. Tactically and defensively he still has lots to learn, but seems willing to work hard, cocky without being a self-obsessed cunt and isn't a headless chicken. Definitely a player to watch and someone I could see as an option in this team.

Shaq's stat for the season were good for a bit part player who barely saw 15m of games. There's no reason why need to get rid of shaq to get this guy.

Getting rid of Shaqis a mistake.
Absolutely crazy, he is not gonna be consistent for us as the PL is tough, but anyone looking at his participation in the national team, and he is the one that makes it really click. We should hold onto him, he can play multiple positions.

Why not have this lad and Shaqiri both?

Although it's being Liverpool, this is probably a smokescreen.

The lad has huge potential. We definitely should go for him.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are all interested in signing 27-year-old Colombia playmaker James Rodriguez, who is not expected to stay at Bayern Munich after his loan deal from Real Madrid ends this summer. (Mirror)

The 23-year-old is not expected to sign a new contract and could depart this summer

Timo Werner is not expected to move to Bayern Munich by RB Leipzig manager Ralf Ragnick because the Bavarians are yet to make an approach for the striker.
Werner's contract at the Red Bull Arena is set to expire in June 2020 and the Bundesliga champions have been heavily linked with a swoop for the Germanyinternational.
The 23-year-old forward has scored 50 goals in 93 league appearances for Leipzig, who secured a return to the Champions League by finishing third.

Rangnick, who will return to his position as sporting director with Julian Nagelsmann taking over as head coach from 2019-20, stated Leipzig have still not received an approach for Werner, despite him being available for the right price.
"I would not be so sure that [Werner] will actually go to Bayern," Rangnick told Sport Bild.
"If Bayern were absolutely sure about Timo, they would have already officially contacted us with a request. Anything else would be unusual for Bayern, especially since we have a good relationship with them.
"Our position has not changed: we do not want him to go into the last year of his contract without an extension.
"He can leave this summer when a club comes who is willing to pay a suitable transfer fee."
Leipzig have a chance to win the DFB-Pokal for the first time in their history when they face Bayern in the final in Berlin on Saturday.
The club's CEO, Oliver Mintzlaff, admitted last week he is still hopeful Werner could extend his deal after the final.
