Klopp seems to have very little pulling power with young german talent.
He's in his 50's it can't be easy
I know, they all seem to love him, but never join him. Have mentioned this issue with his pulling power to attract young Germans but we have seen very little even the ones who have worked under him before. I personally think its all the running and pressing he demands of his players...they may feel his methods are subject to too many injuries.Gotez was gushing with praise and still turned klopp down twice

LIVERPOOL are reportedly ready to offload Xherdan Shaqiri as they look to seal the transfer of Villarreal starlet Samuel Chukwueze.
While Shaqiri started out his Liverpool career impressively, the Switzerland international found game time hard to come by as the season progressed. The Reds narrowly missed out on winning the Premier League title to Manchester City but their 97 points accumulated show that the squad does not need tinkering too much.
Boss Jurgen Klopp will be on the lookout for a good deal this summer of course, but he not expected to dip his toes into the transfer market too much. One player that he is looking at though, according to Goal.com, is Villarreal starlet Chukwueze. The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season in La Liga, scoring five goals in 19 games, while also impressing in the Europa League. His versatility appeals to Klopp, it is believed, given that he has played across the frontline this season and as an attacking midfielder.
The newly capped Nigeria international has pace to burn and is seen as ideal back-up to Liverpool's front three. While the Reds are not actively looking to sell Shaqiri, bids upwards of £20m would surely have to be considered.
This is an intriguing link. This player first caught my eye in that wild 4:4 game vs Barcelona where he absolutely tore apart their left flank, particularly on the break. He did something similar to Real Madrid earlier in the season:
He is usually compared to Robben, but for me he has a bit of a young C. Ronaldo playing style – for now it's mostly tricks, pace and playing on the counter, but with right coaching and work ethic he can learn to be effective against deep-lying defenses too. His dribbling and ball control are very strong and he has the perfect physique for a winger/forward; tactically there is still lots to learn, but he is definitely not a headless chicken a la Adama Traore. Definitely a player to watch and someone I could see as an option in this team.
Absolutely crazy, he is not gonna be consistent for us as the PL is tough, but anyone looking at his participation in the national team, and he is the one that makes it really click. We should hold onto him, he can play multiple positions.Getting rid of Shaqis a mistake.

Tactically and defensively he still has lots to learn, but seems willing to work hard, cocky without being a self-obsessed cunt and isn't a headless chicken. Definitely a player to watch and someone I could see as an option in this team.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are all interested in signing 27-year-old Colombia playmaker James Rodriguez, who is not expected to stay at Bayern Munich after his loan deal from Real Madrid ends this summer. (Mirror)

AS reporting that Christian Eriksen is close to signing for Real Madrid
I think we should ban all quotes from AS since we know they almost always have less truth to them than posts from The Firm.AS reporting that Christian Eriksen is close to signing for Real Madrid
AS is absolutely full of shite, but you must be referring to another Firm rather than THE Firm, which is obviously as solid a source of insider info as it can be possible to imagine.I think we should ban all quotes from AS since we know they almost always have less truth to them than posts from The Firm.
