I heard they are in for the big Serb at Fiorentina instead based on a report, they may get one striker this year and wait for Haland next year I guess.

I think you are wrong about Milner though. He hasn't been poor at all and it seems like he still has plenty to give. There will be a point I'm sure when he won't be able to any longer but I don't see why anyone would actively want him gone.
Not about my standards, it's about his contribution to the team...if he's proutzing about the pitch for 90mins for the last 2 seasons scoring/assisting 1 in every 5 games and not turning up in the 4 of 5 games then I'd say sell and refresh...we got Jota in who is a better player right now and has more to give in the next 4-5 years so what's the harm?
Not sure I want anyone gone now, don't trust FSG to reinvest the cash on players. They might wait till winter to rejuvenate the squad, but I am not holding my breath. Get the feeling next years excuse will be stadium repayments.

Pretty much all of our players were below par for some or all of last season. You can single out Firmino and (bizarrely) Milner if you wish but I personally think both are still good players.
As for what the harm is, the harm is we sell Firmino and Milner and either the owners don't spend the money on anyone else, or we don't get players in who are as good.

It will get to the point sooner or later when his age will catch up with him, but it doesn't look like we are at that point now.
I suspect that if we let him go now another PL team would happily take him and he would do a good job for them instead.
Worth remembering that Gary McAllister was about Milner's age when we signed him and he didn't too badly.

I Like Matip, I have always rated him as the best centreback next to VVD, Gomez is for me avarage,and the only thing in his favour is his speed. But the are both injury prone and i believe we should have keep Philips and Kabak and moved on Gomez at least. Philips would have only improve playing alomg side VVD & Konaté as would Kabak

I think Milner will be moved on next summer, with the emergence of Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliot he's going to get even less playing time this season. He will be 36 in January so I cant see FSG giving him another contract
