Agree. We've been complaining about squad depth for ages.
During the summer I was thinking that we finally had enough players in midfield.
We're not back at square one, but we are currently depending on a player who played in the Championship 2 years ago and an U21 international.

Lucas is the beez kneez but what if he get's injured. That is, if Magnito get's a hold of him.
Is Spearo a good enough replacement?

Yeah - it's better for him to go than to stay in the squad in a discontented frame of mind. I'm curious as to his motives. Rumour has it that he felt he was likely to play fewer games with the arrival of Adam and Henderson, but surely he is even less likely to get games at Chelsea with their wealth of available midfielders.

Maybe Chelsea just offered him more money. Money is the answer to most questions in the Premier League. :🙂

Have to say my sentiment is close to Molbystwin's.

I thoght we'd had a storming transfer window, the best since this bollocks was introduced, right up until Raul put in a transfer request and we only got 12m.

Raul is worth more to s than £12m and I don't like the thought that Chel$ki can rest Lampard and still be effective.

Not pleased with this one.
