Its been said for quite a while now that Klopp will get more money to spend then any Liverpool mansger before him. I see no reason to doubt that given the money from the new TV agreement and our own financial position.

Van dijk 50m
Romeu 30m
Ward prowse 20m

sell lazar sakho for 20m and buy bertrand for 20m
Sakho will go for £25m at least
Lazar £15-20m
And no way should we pay Southampton £30m for Romeu, Van Dijk may be £45m will do it. Ward-Prowse I don't know enough about.

Sakho will be 20 mill + with this form he's shown.

Lazar 8-10 mill (even though we want 16)

Moreno 8-10 mill

Studge 15 mill

I'm so glad none of you will be negotiators for any football club. Reserve players go for £5-10m these days. Sakho is doing a steller job at CP and will got for £25m plus. Look at this way if CP was going to sell Skaho on the back of the performance he's had for them they'd ask for £30m plus.

Hopefully most of that is going somewhere other Southampton coffers.

Really?

I get that it's embarrassing giving money to the same club every summer, but have we invested badly there?

Mane, Lallana, Clyne - have all been superb buys. Lovren is still debatable, but he's a first-choice CB for us, so all in all I'd say our record with their players is very good.

And I'd take Van Dijk in a heartbeat too.

Exactly. I couldn't care less if they're the only club we ever deal with again. If the players and the fees are right, who cares where the players come from?

Opening game of next Season then:

.................................Schmeichel.................................

Clyne..................Matip................van Dijk............Milner

..........................Wini....................Can...........................

Mané.........................Coutinho..............Douglas Costa

.....................................Dolberg....................................

Leaders, Workers, Creators and Match Winners galore - even on the bench too.

Karius, Gomez, TAA, Lovren, Kolasinac, Henderson, Kessié, Lallana, Firmino, Woodburn, Origi

That's a squad ready to compete in all competitions as well as for the Premiership crown.

If we go next season with Milner as our starting LB, something is very wrong.

Don't get me wrong, he's done expceptionally well out of position but I want a good - real LB, not a makeshift one.

Yep, but there are many posters with pitchforks 'round 'ere who don't share our views. LB is not the priority they say's.

I think we will get a new LB in, but I am not too concerned with Milner playing in that position to be honest.

He's bringing a lot to the table aside from his very steady-eddy performances, like routine, leadership, calmness, steel and grit. Something we have otherwise lacked in the team. It will help us overall if we can bring in a goalie and a CB both with the ability to command from the back but as long as our forward-thinking players are all top of the shelf-players I wouldn't mind making space for a player with the intelligence and mental attributes of Milner and then accept it'll be with a little less pace, skill and flair than what other, more tailor made LB's would offer.

It's all about finding the right balance. Milner could still play a big part in that.

PS As you can see I have added the strong Kolasinac (a LB from Schalke) in my Dream Football Manager Expert Team XI.
