Just saw this (even though it was dated a week ago)
[article]We're not sure if Toulouse manager Pascal Dupraz has seen Any Given Sunday, but he did a good impression of Al Pacino's character with an inspirational teamtalk ahead of last weekend's final game in the French season.
When Dupraz took over as Toulouse boss with 10 games left, his team were second bottom in Ligue 1 and 10 points from safety. On Saturday, they completed a miraculous escape from relegation after picking up 18 points from a possible 30.
After seeing some behind-the-scenes footage ahead of their last game, it's easy to see why. Dupraz agreed to have J+1's cameras follow him for Saturday's trip to Angers and you don't really need to understand French to be fired up by one of his prematch speeches.
"You deserve to stay up," he tells his players. "It's now that you have to do it. It's not tomorrow. It wasn't yesterday. It's now."
The three-minute clip ends with the former Evian boss showing his squad video messages from their wives, girlfriends and children in which they urge the players to finish the job.
Many of the squad were reduced to tears by the end. And the motivational tactic clearly worked as Toulouse later came from behind to beat Angers 3-2.[/article]
