We've been excellent barring a bit more precision around their box. Couldn't be further from the first half performance at Wembley last year.
They are claiming Virgil fouled the keeper when Vertonghen had Virgil all bear-hugged.
Milner, Milner or maybe yer man Milner ....I think there were at least 3 of them on the park.Bobby
Gini
Milner
Robertson
Pick of the first half.
What do you guys think of our midfield at the moment. Keita has been solid but hasn't been able to have a game changing effect. Something to work on as the season progresses rather than anything to worry about.
It's more cos Hendo & Milner together doesn't work against a lot of sides, so play the better of the two (form wise) then replace the other one.
I doubt klopp thinks Keita is already a better player than Hendo, it just balances the midfield better, on paper at least.
Y'all need to just sit back & let it happen.I agree with Mystic.
But as discussed in the last match thread id drop him anyway. Hes playing shit and being greedy. He needs taking down a peg or two.
Nah he had a defender between them who had him in a head lock
For everyone slagging off the midfield, give spurs a bit of credit.
They're no slouches & they're managing to press our entire midfield every time they get near the ball consistently.
I'm not happy with our cm, but then I haven't been since alonso & mascher left us, under klopp this could be the best cm since then, but not until they're all settled in. It's the fifth league game of the season FFS.
Ha. I used the same phrase, but it was more of a bear hug thing around his neck. It was a definite foul regardless.Look, Virgil is a giant, unless Vertonghen was floating he could hardly "head lock" him.
The "Gini of Newcastle" who never scored an away goal for them?Fuck Gini of Newcastle would have beat his man and scored.
Weak
Not that I disagree but as a unit our CM hasn’t looked very good at controlling the game in any game bar West Ham who are gash.
Definitely work to be done
Oh FFS that's a post match stat not in-game !Liverpool have never lost an away game when Gini Wijnaldum has scored a header given by goal line technology
I see your point but there Congress a point when you can't worry too much about the Press especially when you feel you have to make a sensible footballing judgement.I think it would be unwise to substitute Salah because that would signify that there is a problem with him, and the press would make a big issue of it. Better to leave hi to play himself into form in my opinion.
Quite.Spurs are a good side. We've been better thus far and should have scored more. I wouldn't rule out them scoring either though, so our lack of lethality is a tad worrying.
I poo pooed the hype around Salah quite a bit last year. I would prefer to look like an idiot again.
Doesn't matter. He was in an offside position and affected the play. The just showed the replay of Firmino's disallowed goal, Mane didn't touch it.
