I dont understand this at all. Why loan him? He isnt going to play for us.

It's basically like a trial. We have an option to buy.
[/quote]So have the option to buy but leave him at a place where he will play. Makanosense.

What do you mean? We play him in reserves for 6 months and decide if we want to buy him, that's how I see it.

BREAK-ING NEWS ON MIDFIELDER:

Gillingham midfielder Danny Spiller has been told he could lose his finger after breaking it during a match.

The 29-year-old thought he had dislocated it during Tuesday's game with Chesterfield.

But manager Andy Hessenthaler told BBC Radio Kent: "He has a real bad break and he's going to need surgery on it.

"People might say it shouldn't stop him playing but if he has the operation and comes back too soon then he could actually lose the finger."

Hessenthaler added: "That's as bad as it could be.

"Also long term he could get arthritis.

"So I think the consultant is worried that if he came back too early and damages it again then there could be implications for that.

"He may have to have a rod in the finger as well because it's quite a bad break.

"He's obviously disappointed, but we'll have to see what the consultant says after he has surgery this week."

exactly. this is FUCKING INSANE.

he's worth £20-25m max. let mr fucking super scout comolli find a non-ridiculous signing for the summer.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

It's been confirmed Carroll is on his way to Liverpool.
Newcastle stalling for time, looking to get Crouch on loan is one deal being looked at.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Why don't we just merge this and Carroll thread to save running back and forth between them?

Who cares. This time last year any money made from a torres sale would have went to service the clubs debt. Be excited for fucks sake.

I can't vouch for either, I've never been raped or felt up any puppets.

Personally I'm just sitting at my desk, frantically worrying that we'll lose Torres and not get a replacement. Doesn't feel much like rape, but again I'm not expert.

look, if it turns out FSG have massive pockets and will bankroll further big signings i couldn't give a fuck if we paid £40m+ for carroll. if it means we've spunked most of the torres money and can't afford the other big players we need i'm deeply worried.

This.

ANd exactly this.

Those of us who aren't bothered by the transfer fee are acting as if this is the start of big things to come; ie 35million for Carrol; 31 million for Cameron Jerome etc..

But unlss they've just discovered oil at Melwood this may not be tha case and we could be wasting a PILE of money which we wont be able to replace all that easily.
