I'll wait to the end of the window before making these final standing predictions. So much can change between now and then.

Spurs, Chelsea, United and City haven't made all their moves yet. We and Arsenal, most likely have.

If the window closed today though, I'd have us finishing 2nd behind City.

I could see us finishing 3rd too, it's close between us and city, 2nd 3rd are not that different. I foresee that chelsea will steal the title thanks to those cunt's lack of midweek games, experienced players, and nobody knowing the way they will play under a new manager.

They will play Europa league games like Arsenal.. and have the Sunday-Thursday shifts,

Unlike the last time they won the title, when they had no europe at all.

Our league form will suffer when we are chasing CL glory again and hopefully the FA Cup.
Spurs will have nothing but the league to concentrate on by March.

Plus it's not like Spurs haven't finished about us in most of the recent seasons is it?

So what youre saying is you dont think Alisson, Keita, Fabinho, Shaqiri and lets throw in Virgil aswell is enough to overhaul a TWO point gap. Given you have been banging on about the 25 points to city thats your argument right?
We havnt done enough? With 250m worth of players to cover a 2 point year on year?

I thought Spurs took time to adjust last season, I think they'll be better this season. It'll be close and we may indeed get 2nd but I think Spurs will.

We have brought in good players but lost

Ox, Coutinho and Can so I don't see a huge improvement in terms of depth which will be our biggest issue come the final part of the season and we dial back the league again or suffer injuries trying to win everything we are still in
 
Can was a ponderous, inconsistent lazy cunt who had literally no bearing on our season other than a few goals against bin men in Europe. That's what we've lost Pat. We lost Coutinho and actually became more balanced as a result and were arguably better after he left. We've now added Keita to replace what we did lose and we've added Shaqiri who will do probably as much as AOC in terms of goals/assists. We've also added a top keeper, instead of those two jittery, game ruining idiots we previously had. Robertson will have a full season (as opposed to half a season with that Spanish retard) and the same with VVD.

If mane, Salah of Firmino?

Like I said we've strengthen our 1st 11 but our overall squad is much of a muchness still and that's what will cost us as we'll go deep in the CL again.

This is pure BS - we don't need to "catch" city as we are NOT 25 points behind them. I checked the table on BBC and they are on 0 pts and we are on 0 pts, there are roughly 0 pts between us. Last season City were really good, but they also had luck on their side, and there were key points for them in the season that drove their momentum (injury time winner against Brighton …remember they were fucking drawing with the almighty Brighton on 93 minutes; Mane red card & 5-0 win etc.). They probably won't be as good as they were last season (e.g. remember Arsenal's "invincibles" became "vincible" the following season), and they almost certainly won't get the same breaks.

So quit this "we have to catch up on 25 points" bollocks, its pure defeatist irish antipodean crap.

City are a stable club, with world class manager and world class players all over the pitch... Unlike Chelsea, who always one way or another manage to Fuck it up for themselves..

Anyone expecting City to implode.. Imho that's what it will take for us to win the title are deluded.. Seriously deluded

They are only going to improve.. They are the bench mark.. And they have raised it far higher than any previous champions in this league

City are far too strong... Of course teams will roll over.. Unless you have the pace and strength to match them.. You have no chance

We will match them when they play them no doubt about that.. But whether we will have the consistency to match them over the course of the season I seriously doubt that.. Absolutely everything will have to click into place

They are like the great UTD sides that successfully defended titles..

They have class all over the pitch.. With one hell of a class manager who certainly knows how to win a trophy or 3

Its a real real tough ask.. Incredibly tough ask..
