I just don't see it that way. You've basically turned into Real Madrid with your two top heavy galictico purchases. It will take some gelling and I can't see you guys being much of threat this side of Christmas, if at all this season.

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, i don't know. Time will tell.

I think people underestimate just how bad this start is for them. A top 4 team has to be getting 9 points from those games, anything less is dropped points. So they've already dropped 7 points compared to us.

That's a pretty big burden to carry already.

I think Utd will get fourth. They won't get anywhere near challenging for the title because their defence is shit and they've got too many square pegs in round holes. That said I think the options they have ahead of the defence will ensure that once they settle in they'll have just too much for all but the very top sides in the league.

I think the top three...ourselves, City and Chelsea will again be separated by no more than six points and it's anyone guess in which order they'll come in.

Agree with that.

Once Utd get a convincing win or two their attack will overwhelm most sides in the league. How many teams can exploit their overall weakness at the back, how long it is until they get that confidence & how much European extertions take out on the top 6 sides will determine where they finish, which I would be betting anywhere between 7th if they're really bad & they can't get confidence for a few weeks, & 3rd if they get the confidence quickly & lay waste to the teams outside of the top couple.

I think Utd have got 3 games left of the easiest start in PL history. Their next 6 games after that are

West Brom A
Chelsea H
Man City A
Palace H
Arsenal A

They need to get 7 points minimum from the three gimmes against QPR H, Leicester A, and West Ham H, or they'll be about 10 points off fourth before the end of November.
