Top 3 Worst\Most Disappointing Players this Season

Suarez - the most valuable, most improved, most exciting and most disappointing player at the same time. We could've done without him losing his head and giving the FA the opportunity to make him unavailable for the first 6 games next season.

Skrtel / Agger - they've have been as bad as each other this season when played together; had Rodgers dropped Agger instead of Skrtel as Carra's partner, I think a lot more folks would've had Agger in their list instead.

Lucas - this probably seems harsh with him coming back from injury, but I was hoping for at least a few more decent games; instead he's been like a damp squib and played most games like his first couple of seasons here

----

I'd have had Reina in there also for his poor form in the first half of the season but I was most disappointed by the ones above. Suarez was obviously a difficult and controversial pick but I was really disappointed that he didn't learn from his prior lessons to stay away from trouble.

Allen - Started well, fizzled out. Thought he would come in immediately and become a mainstay in our midfield but he has been disappointing

Skrtel - After last season, you would think that he could improve or at least maintain his form; but his loss of form was ridiculous. Maybe last season was the exception to the norm?

Lucas - Hasnt been at his best since he came back, I thought he would just need a few games to get back into form,

Allen - disappointing because Pesam and Ryan had us belieivng he was that good ... he still may be, but he was definitely poor after a good start.

Allen is a superb footballer LTW but even when we signed him I pointed out that he needed like-minded players to play with i.e. intelligent footballers, with an appreciation of space and the ability to read the game. Regularly through the season i have bemoaned us fielding a team with Henderson, Lucas, Downing AND Shelvey starting; they are all instinctive players who don't read the game particulalrly well but tend to adapt to situations rather than instigate a situation.

I don't mind having one of the above (preferably Henderson) starting a game; after all even in our heydey we always had ONE player who played by instinct rather than design (Keegan, Houghton, Craig Johnson etc) but I'd like the rest of the players to be more appreciative of their surroundings/teammates. In players like Coutinho, Suarez, Agger, Allen, Gerrard, Suso etc we are putting together a squad of superbly talented intuitive players and if we keep signing a few other such players then we are not going to be far away from winning stuff.

I can't wait to see Allen link up with Coutinho, I think they are made for each other.

Actually, I'd like to see this too. I'm not saying Allen is a shite player, but he has played shite, if that makes any sense. But I think if he was playing with Coutinho we'd see a different side to him. I definitely wouldn't give up on him.

Shelvey - He started the season brightly, was well ahead of Hendo in the pecking order and seemed to be Stevie's heir apparent. He has gone backward hugely though and now his Liverpool career is under serious doubt having seemed like an integral part of the squad/team this time last season
Lucas - It wasn't unexpected that his performances wouldn't be quite his top standard but he has been poor for many games and seems to have regressed somewhat. If he can reclaim the form of early last season prior to his cruciate injury then we have a top centre mid on our hands, if he doesn't we need a replacement.
Allen - A bit harsh on the lad as he started the season very well and subsequently was carrying an injury. The hype around him was huge though (Welsh Xavi?????) and he certainly didn't live up to it this season. Hopefully next year.

Skrtel is unlucky in my book as neither him or Agger were exactly outstanding in the first half of the season and either could have been dropped in favor of Carra. Agger played himself back into form alongside Carra but it could just as easily have been Skrtel doing that with everyone having Agger in their "superfluous to needs" group.
