Just interested to gauge people's opiniona on the top 10 in the Premier League at the moment.

I'm not sure how I would order them but my ten would include:
Kane
Sanchez
Kante
Hazard
Lukaku
Dele Alli
De Bruyne
Coutinho
Mane
Eriksen

I've no doubt i'm leaving a few worthy names out

Rosco likes attackers

Definitely.

Scoring and creating are the hardest things to do in the game

There's little to disagree with there. I'd probably squeeze in De Gea over De Bruyne. I love De Bruyne and he's super talented, but De Gea for me makes a bigger contribution to United than De Bruyne to City.

Neither of you picked Aguero?

Aguero
Hazard
Sanchez
De Gea
Kante
Kane
Coutinho
Mane
Alli
Lukaku

Pretty sure I've forgotten someone.

Shows you how much we have to do.

We have one player in the top ten, & it may become hard to keep him this summer.#

Whilst I don't believe you always need a team full of superstars to win the title, you need three or maybe four of them alongside your uber-consistent 7/10 week in week out players, & you can maybe afford to carry a couple of players who are inconsistent (between 9/10 & 5/10 performances, like Coutinho was, Garcia etc).

We need a couple more players who can realistically fight for a place in that there top ten.

Chelsea just won the league, with arguably only two of the top ten, same as us.

Not that I disagree though, but I think it's probably something like have two of them top 10, five of the top 20.... Or something more complicated like that.

Not arguing. It's hardly a scientific basis I'm using, but most sides that win the league have two or three of the best players & then a core of those consistent as fuck players as well.

Currently, we don't have enough consistent players & we're short on the star players too. Although I'd add a disclaimer that the consistency issue may be partly down to squad depth, injuries & physical fitness, so that could arguably change without much change to the squad.

For me Costa doesn't miss out by much, Courtois isn't miles away either

Incidentally Sterling is still only getting 6 or 7 league goals a season.

We won on that deal right?
Hes a good player but never a 50m player.

Only one player in "Rosco's Bestest Ever Scorey Scorey Goal Man" Top 10!

Heh, I had a feeling someone would do that.

The thing is though I think you could ask every footy fan to do this list & they'd almost all (there's some nutters obv) only include just Coutinho from us, it's not exactly controversial.

Coutinho
Salah
Mane
Keita
Kante
Hazard
Sanchez
Kane
Aguero
Ali

Next season we'll have 4 from the top 10 players in the league.

Leicester won the league with like no player in the top ten.
Kante was number 1 in the top 10, arugably vardy and mahrez would have been in the top ten and then drinkwater and co in the top 20....

But yeah, they didnt have any top players that season...

As if they would have been in your top ten pre season like the players listed now.

Courtois had a crap time this year, only a solid and mobile defence brought his stats up. De gea, Pickford, Heaton and Mignolet all had a much better season

That's not true. He was pretty dreadful in 2015/6, but more like his old self last season. Certainly not "crap".

Slight hyperbole, maybe, but regardless he is statistically 5th/6th best behind LLoris, Pickford, Cech, De Gea and Heaton (Mignolet had good personal season but the defence brought stats down) this year, despite winning golden gloves. His general save percentage, saves per shot-on, saves per goal conceded are down on those listed.

Yeah, but it's extraordinarily rare to win the title without a very good goalkeeper. He's won it twice in England and once in Spain.

He's a very good goalkeeper.

I think you can win the league with a Mignolet (last season level) keeper provided the rest of the team is good enough.

Jens Lehmann, Kasper Schmeichel, Joe Hart, Barthez, Tim Flowers are PL winning keepers. I don't think any of them would have been top 3 keepers in the league in the league winning seasons.

My top 10 (in no particular order) would be:

Hazard
Kane
Kante
Coutinho
Alli
Aguero
Sanchez
Costa
Matic
De Bruyne
