I accompanied Mrs VQ to the Tom Jones concert at The Liverpool Arena last Saturday. I am glad I did, it far outstripped my expectations.
I thought the audience was going to be all middle aged slappers (apart from Mrs VQ obviously), of course there were a fair share of them, but a huge mix of people, and a lot of younger people too (no I don't mean under fifty!) in their twenties.
Tom Jones at 69 still has it, the old bastard, the voice is great, and the songs fantastic.
When Delilah started it was just like a giant Karaoke contest.
