Wenger is now so deep in the darkness of his own delusion that he actually seems to think he can and should stay on and rebuild this team next season. Even when his club has been a stable champions league club, based in London, with him as a respected manager, he's still struggled to attract top players, and those who have come haven't wanted to stay for very long. If he really believes that he'll be able to improve on that when his club is in the Europa League, with his own reputation tarnished and the fan base full of bile, he's truly lost the plot.
