A few things from the weekends games:
- Call City lucky, but a draw was the least they deserved. How some of those chances didn't go in earlier is staggering. They mauled Sunderland in that second half.
- Bullard's attempt to block/charge down Denilson's shot that lead to Bendtner's winner - Absolutely fucking dreadful. Have a look at it if you get the chance.
- Roger Johnson. Signing of the season?
- Was Hodgson effectively handing that game over to United? Leaves out Etuhu, Duff, Konchesky, Greening, Gera and stick Chris Baird an ordianry right-back into centre midfield. They've won one game away from home all season, and I think Hodgson was happy enough not to really bother trying to change that yesterday.
- Spurs attack with blinding pace. I think they pruposely play deep just to be able tyo launch those rapid counter attacks. There's no genuine raw pace in the side really (Kranjcar, Palacios, Bale, Modric, Pavlyuchenko etc are all much of a muchness) but they're good players in Modric and Kranjcar move it so fucking qucikly right through the middle. Modric in particular is a splendid footballer. They're good to watch Spurs.
- Ferguson's got his best players fit at exactly the right time. Ferdinand, Vidic, VDS, Giggs a week away, and possibly Hargreaves back. They're peaking on time.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention Howard Webb's performance at WHL on Saturday. What an almighty cunt he is.
