Keni - is there a difference between a magnificent player and a magnificent striker? Until this year, I thought Rooney wasn't a great striker as his goal return was never 'great'. Pity this year he's become a great striker as well as player ... and 10 more years with the Mancs unless Real/Barca tempt him.

Even so, I believe his return was always good enough to place him in the upper echelon of strikers, which no-one ever really argued he didn't belong in. The doubt was always whether he'd be able to get to the goalscoring level of a RVN or Henry. He's matured and improved season on season and this year has obviously been relishing taking over from Ronaldo in a sense, proving that he can do it.
As for moving to Real or Barca, I can't really see that happening. I'd bet on him staying at Utd.
