Quite right, but this is not a coincidence or a conspiracy, but rather a result of a gradual and deliberate pushing of the boundaries by Mourinho. He has earned a reputation for saying things like that and we all feel almost disappointed if he doesn't. Of course he is being hypocritical and he very well knows it. Would it be better for anyone if he just said his team were "unlucky on the day" and "this is football" or any other similar boring and cliche'd phrases? As it happens, thanks to the "tactics of 19-century" comment, Allardyce and Jose get to have a bit of a banter, journalists will sell some papers and everyone is having fun.

Take commentary. They only now talk about incidents. Controversial this, alleged that. For me, it would be far more interesting if the fucker actually spoke about the tactics on show, took time to explain who was making off the ball runs to pull other players out of position, how the opposing manager could switch his players to combat that etc. You know, the actual game on the pitch, that you can only see bits of on telly.
When you go the match you can spot the formation instantly. You can see where their danger lies within a get minutes. Those things take longer on telly, so their job is to explain if imo, fill in the blanks.
Same with this, instead f talking about shitty comments why not explain exactly how whu stopped them & how the next team Chelsea face might line up?

And when you go to a concert, do you want a musician to tell you about which scale he was using for writing this song or what feeling or emotion inspired him to do it? Emotions and emotionally charged language are important, that's what helps to make songs and football games memorable.
