Paper's saying we're interested, €30m is the asking price. Like anything printed whether it be in some provincial rag or mainstream press you have to take it with a pinch of salt. The guy looks tasty with 14 goals and 14 assists and there's no way Monaco will let him leave for €30m, they want £40m for left back and £110m for an 18 year old

Thought he was nailed on to sign with Arsenal.
I never really focused on him when I watched Monaco in CL this year ... so no clue if he's worth 30mill or not, or even how good he is.

Liverpool among 4 top clubs linked with Monaco winger Thomas Lemar

Liverpool are reported to have joined Juventus, Arsenal and Tottenham in pursuit of AS Monaco’s 21-year-old left winger Thomas Lemar.

Jurgen Klopp is clearly eager to add more cutting edge in the final third ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, as he fleshes out his squad’s ranks.

Both AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah and Arsenal utility man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are said to be priority targets, with a host of other options mooted for the summer market.
Monaco, who enjoyed a phenomenal campaign last time out, look set for a deluge of offers this summer—and they could entertain one from Liverpool if reports in France are to be believed.
According to Telefoot, Klopp is interested in bringing Lemar to Anfield, as he seeks to add to his forward line.
They claim the Reds’ top-four rivals Arsenal and Spurs are also “seduced” by Lemar’s potential, along with Serie A giants Juventus.
Lemar scored 14 goals and assisted a further 17 in 55 games for Monaco last season, having joined from Stade Malherbe Caen in a deal worth just £3.5 million in 2015.

Along with Kylian Mbappe, Lemar is one of the most exciting young attacking talents in Ligue 1, with his control, pace, skill and creativity making him an invaluable playmaker for Monaco.

Whether Liverpool would be able to sign Lemar is questionable, particularly if Juventus were to approach the youngster, while the credibility of Telefoot’s claim is unclear.
The Reds are seemingly closing in on a deal to sign Salah, with the Egyptian expected to join Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in Klopp’s first-choice attacking line.
This would allow Philippe Coutinho to move into a deeper, more creative midfield role alongside two of Adam Lallana, Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Emre Can and potentially Naby Keita.
Signing Lemar and Salah would give Klopp considerable quality and depth, but it is unlikely either would join without the guarantee of a key role.
Of course, Liverpool are still monitoring alternatives in attack, with Gelson Martins, Douglas Costa and Keita Balde all reported to be on Klopp’s radar.

Lemar is only said to be valued at around £26 million, however, and could provide better value if a deal for Salah falls through—particularly given his age.
For now, Lemar seems an unlikely arrival, but he would certainly be a fine addition.

He's quality. I'd love him. But pretty sure this is nonsense.
I agree, but if the papers are right and he is available for around £30m, I'd buy him. He is only 21 and will improve with time and age. I'd possibly think of not buying a striker

Telefoot is linking us today to him, along with Spurs ... Saying both clubs are ahead of Arsenal, who are finalizing the capture of Lacazette on a 5 year deal.

I double Monaco will sell him this season after littling go of Bernardo Silva (and soon Bakayoko), that would decimate their midfield. The story is most likely bollocks.

He's a good player, similar to Keita in some way, but less robust defensively.

Finally a price that typifies Monaco's transfer strategy

Arsenal have been told it will take a staggering £80million bid to sign France international Thomas Lemar from Monaco this summer, reports say.
Arsene Wenger is close to bringing Alexandre Lacazette to the Emirates in a club-record £52million deal after the prolific striker completed his medical.
OFFICIAL: Lionel Messi agrees to sign new Barcelona contract
But the Gunners boss is keen to secure two of three more significant additions and Lemar has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League.
The 21-year-old was an influential figure as Monaco conquered Ligue 1 last season while also reaching the Champions League semi-final.
However, Wenger’s pursuit of the French midfielder may be futile as the Daily Mirror say Arsenal have been quoted with a £80m valuation for Lemar.

With the north London outfit believed to be unwilling to meet the demand, Wenger may turn to Riyad Mahrez who is set to leave Leicester City.
The Armenian winger is eager to join the Gunners after telling Leicester that he would be moving on this summer, but Barcelona and Chelsea have also expressed interest.
Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud has hinted that he’ll stay at the Emirates this summer despite Arsenal’s imminent deal for Lacazette.
Everton and West Ham, along with a number of French clubs, are keeping tabs on the talisman but Giroud says he wants to win a title at Arsenal.

Football is the most psychotically impressionable sport out there. If one player decides to take a corner kick with the ball placed on the very edge of the arc, everyone does it. If one player decides to defend in the box by tucking his hands behind his back, they're all at it. And now it seems all clubs, adopting a Dr Evil pose, value just about everyone at £70-80m.

If only we weren't the exception to the rule. But then we'd be stuck with Moreno for ever.

It's Monaco though, the value of their bench starts at probably £25m (a player)
