This Is The Striker I Want..

The Dutch league is rubbish.

Kuyt scored 25 in 38 the year before he joined and had 70 in 100 overall.

He looked absolutely fucking rubbish on the biggest stage and throwing around stats from a shite league doesn't change that.

We need goalscorers not hard workers
Weird that you would use Kuyt as an example as he was a fantastic player for us.

Talking of Dreamy, he's admitted to killing kittens and puppies on a farm as a young boy.

I'd be careful how you talk to him. You might end up as a jacket.

You sound a bit like Ian Ayre's and the Transfer Committee's stupid love child there.

I mean yeah he didn't play a blinder like Salif Diao or Diouf or Baros or anyone else who's actually mostly poor but had a good strike of form at a big tournament, or like Downing, Carroll, Konchesky or Charlie Adam did that one game when they played us - so he must be awful.

And the Dutch league is not shite, you are aware that Luis Suarez had about the same goal stats as Kuyt, right? And that players like Bergkamp, Robben, Eriksen, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, van Nistelrooi, fat Ronaldo, Romario etc. are all developed and nurtured there, right?

Talk to anyone that grew up on a farm and if they say didn't either witness the killing or do the act themselves of unwanted puppies or and kittens then they are liars.

It was very normal practice.

Granted I think you'd make a nice hat or headwand.

He was, but that's because he had others to score the goals.

We need goal scorers not hard working all rounders.

We already have those.

Kuyt came with a superb record and couldn't match it here and was eventually shunted out onto the wing for the majority of his career with us.

The comparison was to show that scoring a bucket load in Holland doesn't translate to doing so in England.

They are vastly different and one is much tougher than the other.

Are you really comparing him to some of the greatest strikers to ever grace the game to make a point?

Jesus.

Kuyt wasn't shunted out onto the wing. Rafa played him there so Gerrard and Torres could get more space in the middle and to help our right wing back. It also helped us win the ball back very early.

It is a team game.

I have never seen a better defensive attacker than Kuyt. He was world class when it comes down to press the opponent and win the ball back.

Suarez? One of his best attributes.

Speaking of strikers we should be targeting, we should be all over Icardi like white on rice.

http://www.espnfc.com.au/soccer-tra...claims-inter-milan-have-put-striker-on-market
Mauro Icardi's wife and agent has claimed Inter Milan have made the striker available for transfer, although the Serie A club have reportedly denied that is the case.

Icardi, 23, is under contract until 2019 and said last month that he is keen to remain at the San Siro, but he is said to be seeking improved terms.

On Sunday, his wife Wanda Nara wrote a series of tweets -- which have since been deleted -- saying the club had decided to sell the Argentine striker, adding that neither she nor Icardi actually wanted to leave Milan.

Speaking to calciomercato.com, Nara added: "From what I can gather, Inter have put Mauro Icardi up for sale. There are lots of clubs interested. We'll evaluate the situation with the maximum respect for everybody.

"Mauro would really be sorry to leave Inter, but we understand that the financial situation at the club means they evidently can't keep hold of Icardi.

"There's no release clause in his contract and we hope Inter don't ask for sums beyond his market value, and that their demands are coherent with his contract."

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter have insisted that Icardi is not on the market and that the club's new owners, Suning, believe the forward can help them challenge champions Juventus next season.

La Gazzetta reported that Inter would not entertain any offers below their €50 million valuation of the 23-year-old.
