Theo Walcott ruled out for six months

I wouldn't be surprised to see Hendo and Sterling making the WC squad at the moment. Sterling's been as good as anybody this last month, with more end product than Townsend.

I wonder if Lucas/Coutinho make the cut for Brazil though.

Henderson should be a cert the form hes been in this season, his energy and versatility will be needed out there, would be amazed if he didn't go.

Seems to late for Coutinho, he hasn't been in the picture, if he had some insane run of form or Brazil pick up some injuries you never know.

Lucas maybe, a lot of competition for his role but he has been involved with them recently so he has a chance.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is returning to training though. Could also be a contender if he finds form and remains fit. Arsenal wise, Gnabry apparently had a good game against Spurs. No doubt Walcott's still a big lost though. Interesting to see who Arsenal brings in.

Totally forgot about him. Yeah Arsenal do have cover, but Walcott has been in impressive form and will be missed (by them).

Forgot about him to, hes hardly had a kick this season has he? Lennon is showing a bit of form for Spurs of late aswell so its definately not on a plate for Sterling.

Walcott's injuries
[article=http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25631685]
Walcott first suffered with a shoulder injury in the 2006-07 season
He dislocated his shoulder while training with England in November 2008 and was out for five months
Shoulder, back, knee and hamstring injuries restricted him to 15 starts for Arsenal in the 2009-10 season
An ankle injury sidelined him for three months in 2011
Injured playing for England against Switzerland (2010) and San Marino (2013)
Missed two months of this season after abdominal surgery[/article]

Would imagine Sterling will be aswell, couldn't of seen Roy taking him along with Walcott and Townsend, Sterling is bang in there with a chance now.

Actually, Townsend, does he even exist anymore?
Townsend will get in there because Sterling hasn't hit the bar from 30 yards yet this season.

I took a ride in a Twizy over Christmas. I was in the passenger space (it isn't a proper seat) behind the driver and tweaked my hamstring getting out of the firkin thing, looking such a dipstick in the process that my cousin, who owns the b@stard car, videoed me on his iPhone and Facebooked it. 😀

Thread duty: I'm sorry for Walcott. Wouldn't wish injury on anybody, in addition to which he's a personable young man with more up top the average footballer (evidenced by the fact that he's a Liverpool fan). Whether this will benefit us remains to be seen - if the Arse replace him with somebody really good in the current window, we may rue the day this happened.

Apparently oxlaide chamberlain is gonna be back in the first team within a game or two, so that'll help them absorb the loss a bit.

Who's the bigger dipstick, the person wrecking themselves getting out of it, or the person who owns it?

Definitely a blow for the gooners and England. He's been fantastic since coming back from injury.

Any blow to the Gooners is good news for us. Nothing against him personally but we can't be unhappy about one of our chief rivals losing one of their best players.

I'm gutted it's Walcott, I'm a big fan of his and he's one of the more likeable players at Arsenal, it is a benefit to us at least. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

I forgot about The Ox.. Hopefully it takes him a while to get back into the swing of things although I don't recall him every being top quality, just good for an Englishman which got him some press. Along with a cool nickname..

You call him Ox Blood Chamber Maid too?

Yeah, happy they're missing him for the rest of the season. I only feel bad about him missing the world cup.

I'm not having this quote relating to Theo Walcott:

A ligament the connects 2 bones does not affect speed. Muscles and tendons create speed and power, ligaments create stability

@themichaelowen yeah look how well you came back from that injury..... Oh wait
