The Tragedy of FERNANDO Torres

It'll still, even now, take a lot to make amends for Tin Machine.

I liked Tin Machine... Reeves Gabrels on guitar is some awesome sounding stuff, in fact I'd go as far as to say that in some ways it was a pre-cursor to Never mind but.... there you go..

Listen to it again, thats pre-grunge grunge that is.... seriously... do it... tell me I'm wrong...

As for Torres, it's churlish to allow the betrayal to colour what was a truly monumental career with us, he was fucking sick and I loved having the best striker in the world in our team. IMO however good we were last season we still didnt have the same wow factor as Masher, Alonso, Torres and Stevie in their pomp...

Even after 3 years of betrayal when he had long before become a complete no-mark I noticed that he didn't score but rather lay it of for Chelsea's second last season... we can rewrite history and claim that he was totally disloyal but the truth is we were in deep financial shit and everyone knew it... we could even be blind and say that being sold for 50M was a selfless act of a true red who knew he had been crocked too often playing for Spain... yeah... I know...that's how much I loved that fella...

It's a tragedy what happened with Fernando and it's masochism to forgive him but I'm not so bitter as to hate him.... whats the point...

..

We had just bought Suarez to partner him. He left for more money nothing more nothing less.

You are wrong. Bowie just wanted Iggy's old band so he could pretend to be in The Stooges.

Definitely off topic now but I have no recollection at all of Gabrels being in the stooges.... Is that right??

Anyway... its grungy as hell...give it another listen!! It was just a little early for its time and it was played by a man who has just hit 40 and shat on his own legacy with shit like the glass spider tour and never let me down... appalling...

Each to their own of course but I really liked Tin machine

The Ashton brothers would have robbed all his drugs and booze and told him to fuck right off so he had to go for the Sales brothers off Kill City and Lust for Life instead.

You should listen to some more Iggy. Give Kill City a go. It is boss.

Sure enough!! fuck!! I forgotten they were in it... Gabrels was the redeeming thing tho for me... it will be the third time ive said it now but, i loved the guitar on that album..

I saw Iggy once in Freiburg...also pulled a Swedish model at the gig and shagged her... it was and sadly still is one the highlights of my entire life.

Happy days indeed.
