Oh just as an aside lads, we are now OFFICIALLY better off than after this stage last season.
We got 1pt from these 2 games last year and weve got 3 this year.
We FUCKING RULE!

On a side note, is anyone going to start giving Lucas more credit? He did good again tonight. I hope he proves all the bashers wrong. He is winning back my trust again, slowly.
 
hooray. we beat relegation fodder and are comparing ourselves against title contenders spurs. still think had yossi started instead of babel sunday would have been different.

We were shite on Sunday and were mostly dire tonight. We were just up against an absolutely awful team who have one effective tactic - get a throw in in the final third of the pitch.

Only in glimpses when we actually realised we can move off the ball, did we play how we can (and should be doing)

Oncy, you've had to swallow plenty of humble pie over recent months and years. Rafa, Dirk, N'gog, Lucas, Alonso, the list of people you've fucking panned and then had to backtrack on is quite lengthy.
 
Good reaction from the lads. Sunday was maybe a necessary wake up call.
I dont really care what Spurs are doing, we were shite on Sunday and better today against weaker opposition.
We have to build on this and we have 2 more points than last season against same teams.

That's true, he's a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, as he will admit.

What I will admit is that I don't have a lot of optimism going into this season, and losing against Spurs didn't help, but I'm not ready to erase my doubts on the back of shitting on Stoke either. I'm just going to try to enjoy each game, and I certainly enjoyed today.

Also, if Johnson plays anywhere near the level he has been consistently, he'll have far more of a positive influence than I thought he would.

Thirdly. I dont think ive been all that anti-lucas.
And Rafa....well yeah ive given him stick loads. But only when hes fucked up. You pays your money and you (of course) have the right to vent on the internet.

The point of this thread is. If you are going to bitch and moan and vent your spleen, you have to be willing to man up and take your medicine on occassion (eg-you with Mascherano). Something im sure you will admit i've never hidden from? Your Rage's, Lech's, spider's etc just continue to spout the same old shit regardless of the evidence in front of them.
