I wanted Houillier to stay all the way until he went into the agm and expected applause for finishing fourth.
Any Liverpool manager who has not won the league is a de facto failure, Rafa therefore so far is a failure. He is also a great manager doing a good job and has brought the club along nicely. Sitting there expecting the worst out of some perverse desire to be seen to be correct is just weird IMO.

If you class a manager who's won the Champions League with us, taken us to another CL final, consistently done well in the CL, won the FA Cup, finished with our highest points total in the Premiership EVER, and finished as close as we've ever gotten to winning the title since we last won it.

I was convinced we were going to win it last season. I tend to be optimistic in general. My outlook took a bashing when Utd ground out the title win.

I think we are pretty fucked to be honest and a top four place is the very best we can hope for. I have always tended to look past the vitriol when it came to the Yanks, but I think they have made a big mistake in this window, we needed cover up front and we don't have it. We needed that from last year, it's not a new thing.
At this moment in time I can honestly see us struggling to qualify for the CL at the end of the season.
We are now relying on good old lady luck to see our key players through the season.
