Had a few ponderings either relatively recently or over the years that perhaps (in lieu of the Evra thread in the footy forum) may latch onto the Zeitgeist.
So I was listening to Radio 4 a few weeks back, and they had some classically trained actor type on, who had the proper full on accent, dead posh, dead English and all that, and yet somehow you could tell he was black. I don't know how, but you could - there was something in the timbre of his voice that just made it black, but how is that possible? How can you 'sound black'?
Weird.
Next one is what he fuck is with non Chinese people (or I guess non Orientals) who have Chinese eyes (no, not just cos they're stoned).
Lastly (I suspect I may have raised this one before) how comes Downs Syndrome people all look alike, even if they're from different ethnic backgrounds, and is it racist or somethingist to even say that?
